I built this one pretty much box stock except for the slight roof modifications, front lip and suspension adjustment. Keeping it as close to a factory option as possible.......... I even retained the factory wheels which I really don't like. The only parts I replaced were the tires which were way to tall. Paint is Tamiya Mica red over Duplicolor grey primer. The interior was painted with various shades of black a really dark grey.

Nice job on the cruisers. For antennas, may I suggest you use plastruct .01 rod slid into a piece of wire insulation. I use those on all my cruisers and they are quite flexible and wont bend like wire. Zoli

Yeah they do. Even though they're the same size, they do look larger. I'm thinking about sticking with the stock wheels and keeping it more of a factory look.

As much as I dislike the kit supplied wheels, I decided to give them a try, mounted on some parts box tires And here it is with the larger rims out of the Ford Harley kit, mounted on the same tires.

I'm using an HP C3150 All-in-one printer. The secret is the right paper. Testors paper is supplied by decalpaper.com. Same stuff and it's not so great. I had wayyyyyyyyy to much trouble with it not adhearing and curling. The best paper I found and all I use now is Supercal Decal Paper. I spent a small fortune testing all the paper available and I found this one to work the best.

beautiful color combo. -
I finally got my hands on one and was able to take a break from my commission builds. Needless to say, I couldn't help myself and out came the saw blade!! The wheels and tires are out of the Ford Harley Edition kit. I still haven't decided if I'm going to use the scoop or go with the shaker

This one was a fun project. I was sent pictures of this cruiser and was asked if I could build a replica of it. Well, I love a challenge and here's the end result. I have not mounted it on the display base yet since it has the officers name on it. This started off life as a blank 1/24th scale Motormax Crown Vic. I stripped the body of the factory finish and removed the door moldings from the front doors. The body was then primed and painted with Duplicolor generic white....(the stuff in the big can) .The interior was painted with Testors acrylic armor sand and the carpeting was simulated using embossong powder. I tried to replicate the interior as close as possible to the 1:1 car. The light bar was detailed as well with my computer drawn LED lights. All decals were drawn by me and printed onto decal paper with my "perfected ink jet system". The front bumper is protected by a scratchbuilt pushbar Here's a close up of the lightbar

Latest delivery from my "Cop Shop". Motormax Taurus Interceptor Concept painted Testors Viper GTS blue pearl clearcoated with Ultra gloss clear, decals are from Pursuit Plastic. Dual spotlights were added to the pillars, front and rear radar, rear deck directional arrow, light bar detailed with correct NYSP colors, door mirror strobes added.

The roof antennas are for the Lojack unit which is a stolen vehicle recovery/tracking unit. Each coordinate, NE SE NW SW, has it's own antenna.

Full rebuilt and detailed Motormax 1/24th scale Crown Victoria. Paint is Tamiya Metalic Blue and the decals are from Code7/Accuscale. Interior is fully detailed, carpeted, additional deck lights added as well dual radar antennas. Wheels were moved inwards and detailed with simulated wheel weights, the front bumper sports a handmade wrap around pushbar and I added strobes to the rear view mirrors. Interior details also include seat upholstery decals that I made.

Bob.....just send it to me and I'll fix the mirrors myself

shweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!

Policecarmodels.com is my source until I find a local store selling them.

This one is shweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet! I went with the older markings on this since I really don't like the newer orange graphics. This is much more classy in my opinion. Anyway, paint is Tamiya metalic blue with clear, sprayed right over the roughed up factory finish. Light bar was stripped of it's paint and repainted all blue with clear takedowns. Rear arrow stick is one of my fancydancy computer printed light kits. Door mirrors also received blue strobes and all lights on the pushbar were tinted blue. Decals are from Code7/Accuscale. Light bar clamps as well as the rear door glass trim is black electrical tape.

The actuall car color is a very very light blue......more like a baby blue -
I wish I could find a Walmart in my area that carried them and the Crown Vic. These diecast make excelent models once you add a little detail to them and finsh painting all of the trim that was left white.

The blue is applied right over the factory finish. -
I just had to see how this would look. This started of life as the Motormax Police Interceptor Concept car. I painted the hood, roof, trunk and side stripes using Krylon spray. After I finished painting and decaling the body, I found out I used the wrong color blue. Either way, I kind of like this color better. Trim rings were simulated using bare metal foil. Panel lines were highlighted with a black wash. I stripped the paint from the lightbar and repainted it with tamiya clear red blue and yellow. I then painted the seperation lines between the lenses and topped the light bar with a piece of silver vinyl trim tape. The license plate reader lenses are one of my computer genreated goodies. With a little detailing, these l ight bars turn out fantastic! I still need to add the tie down clamps for the lightbar. Pushbar strobes were painted silver then topped with dabs of clear epoxy A rear partition was scratchbuilt as were the window bars. Finally, the spotlight was added to the A-Pillar with the mandatory stalk and hand grip
