  1. Many the manufacturers stopped offering COE's, and most of the drivers hated driving them, so the switch to conventionals was inevitable. Our last COE was a Freightliner Argosy and it was actually a really nice truck!
  2. Yup, that's him. Kevin and his family have been friends with my family for many years. He bought 10 K100's from my family and repainted most of them blue. He still runs 5 of them today. Those are some of the trucks I remember as a little kid, so it is cool to still be able to see them.
  3. Nice! I have a few pics of some of those too.
  4. On facebook he has been nasty to everyone that has asked for their money back. He has deleted a lot of his responses, but there are still some pretty mean ones out there.
  5. Wow, I can't believe this is still going on. It seems that there are a lot of people who are out money. This seems to happen way too often in this hobby. Has anyone filed a complaint with the Federal Trades Commission? They would likely be the authority to help in this sort of a matter. https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/#crnt&panel1-1 Legally all money should have been refunded a long time ago.
  6. No, that is why I am asking. Seems strange that you would attach Moebius name to it for no reason.
  7. Are you saying that Moebius is actually making this?
  8. I now have these APU's available.
  9. They are 1/25 scale.
  10. I now have rims for my flotation steer tires.
  11. Tom, I am sold out of lowboys for the time being. I sold about 30 of them and then my molds started to wear out. Someday when I get time I might make some new molds and make a few more lowboy kits.
  12. More exciting news folks! I have been slowly going through my products and remastering them one by one in the name of continuous improvement. I was never quite happy with my hubs, so I just finished making new drive hubs and trailer hubs. I think these are much nicer than my previous ones. I also remastered my low profile tires and they are better than ever! These look great on lowboys or step deck trailers. I have also finished up molds for new vortex air cleaners. These come with perforated stainless steel inserts to give them that real look. Stay tuned for more, I will have a few more new products coming out in the next couple weeks.
  13. These are common on light duty trucks. These are a common size for small tow trucks, roll-backs, box vans, ambulances, and large dually pickup trucks.
  14. I made these for a custom one-off project that I am working on, but some people that have seen them have shown interest in my casting the rims. If I were to cast these rims and tires, would there be any interest?
  15. Sure. Right now it is kind of a cheater lift axle because I am cheap and didn't want to buy a nice resin one. I used the suspension from a snap tight 359 peterbilt, and cut the axle off of it. I shortened the air bags slightly to get the height I wanted on the axle. Then I took some styrene tube and heated it up to make it into a "U" shape. I glued it all together, then glued it all to pieces of angle, which I glued to the frame. Then I added some brake chambers. I still have to make parts for the front near the suspension pivot to house the springs that would hold the axle up when the air is out of the bags. It's not perfect, and not accurate, but it will look alright on a shelf.
  16. Thanks guys! I got the tanks and battery boxes painted, weathered, and mounted today. Here is the mock-up.
  17. I worked on some weathering and some plumbing tonight.
  18. This particular piece is part of a Mack photoetch set. It comes with 2 different styles of grills and Mack badges.
  19. The spokes are from the DM600 kit, Jeff Bulmer (gotnitro) sent them to me. I modified the rims to make the steer rims wider and to make the drive rims look like tube-type rims.
  20. Thanks! The grill came from Detail Master.
  21. I also have some new drive tires, also $3.00 each.
  22. I finally got around to casting a visor for the Revell snap tight W900. This visor was mastered by Chris Rauch and is a very nice piece! These are $3.00 each.
  23. This is my first attempt at making one myself out of some model train photoetch and some styrene. I think I can do better, but it has promise I think.
  24. Thanks guys! And thank you especially Jeff for sending me those spoke wheels.
  25. Looks good! My family's trucking business ran 51' reefers for quite a few years. People used to think it was odd, but NY state used to charge double tolls for 53' trailers on the NYS Thruway. With a 51' trailer you can hold the same number of skids as a 53' trailer, but the tolls were the same as a 48' trailer.
