  1. Wow, Al. That's terrific.
  2. Good Catch, Tom. Just don't leave it in Atlanta. By the way, I'm bringing my primer project in a Swiffer box too. I'll put a bow on it so we don't mix them up.
  3. It is at the bottom of the click-in page on my post. You can click right in.
  4. Tom Geiger has recently posted about this. The website is up. If you haven't gotten your decals yet you can get a set through the link below at the "email us" tab. There will be a cool logo premium for all who display a model. Keep in mind that last year's T-shirt was a sell-out. The 2016 shirt will be equally awesome. The art isn't ready to be posted yet but will be up on the site before the show. Hotel information is on the site as well. And don't forget NNL Eats on Friday night. See you April 16 for the 30th. anniversary celebration of the Big Show. http://nnleast.com/
  5. Nice looking builds, Bill. What part of Jersey are you in? I'm in Mercer County and work in Burlington. If you have the chance definitely go to the LIARS contest. Some of the best modelers in the country attend.
  6. Today at our meeting Founding Member Bob Gill advised us that today is the 30th. anniversary date of the Tri-State club. I was not there at the beginning but have been privileged to be a member for some twenty-three years. It has been my pleasure to be part of the friendship and camaraderie of the wonderful group of men and women that make up this dedicated band of modelers. The club has been active in promoting shows through the Grow The Hobby Fund, and has supported the International Model Car Builders' Museum for many years. It also puts on NNL East every Spring, the world's biggest car model show and aftermarket swap meet. Congratulations to everyone on this significant milestone. http://tssmcc.com/

  8. Does anyone know of an aftermarket Jag rear end for hot rod applications? I know there are kits like the Li'l John Butera rods that have them but I was wondering if they could be sourced on their own. Thanks.
  9. I agree. Nice color scheme. Looking forward to seeing it in person. Funny, I have not been able to find this kit locally yet.
  10. Return of the Little Deuce would be welcome.
  11. Happy birthday, Tom. NNL East is thirty, so that makes you what, 45?
  12. It's another great addition to your preserved collection, Tom. Someday you need to bring that set out to GSL for everyone to see. And of course set it up at NNL East as a separate display.
  13. I have heard that Createx cannot be sanded. It's an all or nothing deal so a bleb or a run means you have to start all over. has anyone had experience with this?
  14. Great job, Al.
  15. Sorry, the previous link for Raceway Park didn't work. This one does. http://www.etownraceway.com/
  16. NNL East is in Wayne, New Jersey. It's just a hop and a skip from New York City and less than two hours from Philadelphia (south), and probably not much more than that from Boston (north). So you have a lot of choices. There are commuter trains that run all along the Northeastern coastline and despite recent events are really very safe. There are also commuter flights to those cities out of New York at fairly decent prices. I agree that NNL East is the show to catch if it fits your schedule. It is a model meet and display, not a contest, and you will find many of the people from this board who attend. There are also many of the top aftermarket vendors in attendance. In fact, Chris Hales, from Manchester, is the owner of C-4 resins, and has become a vendor. He will be attending again next year. Raceway Park is in Englishtown, New Jersey. That's about an hour south of Wayne and is a well known drag race venue. They do have events in April but I don't know what they'll have next April. 17. Tom, how about the Deora?
  18. http://public.fotki.com/Modlguy/gsl-2015/ Here are my pictures, just uploaded. Great show. Great to reconnect with guys I haven't seen for some time.
  19. Great looking build, Al.
  20. At work right now but heading up this afternoon. Club shirts are packed and can't wait to get going!
  21. Very similiar to a clone of Doug Dempsey's Car Model cover build from 1967 that I am working on for the Museum in SLC. This was done prior to the kit release and I am working from the dimensions outlined in the article. Interestingly I saw this model under construction at the time. Sadly it was lost in a flood not too long ago. This photo is an old one from a few years ago. If I get two minutes to spare I'll take new ones. This thing is fighting me all the way. Anyone know how to attach the clutch cable to the throwout lever? Yeah, it's that detailed.
  22. Has anyone tried these paints? Seems to be a new-to-the U.S. outfit. http://gravitycolors.com/us/
  23. Apparently Buick is considering resurrecting the GN and GNX. Should have some power.
  24. Wingrove is depressed.
