  2. maybe you could apply some heat under the crack, its what we do at work sometimes with cracked perspex, heat can close it up.unsure what will happen with the kit plastic but hey you have nothing to lose.
  3. this will sound insane when it's up and running
  4. will be watching this closely-great work, isn't the parts box bringing out an xd falcon soon?
  5. have already tried easy off on the body but we only have the non toxic version which strips chrome but won't remove paint.ill have a look for the dawn stuff.is this purple power the same you guys use? http://www.wynns.net/ind_cleaners.aspx
  6. I have pinted a body with tamiya undercoat and gloss white from a spray can but im not happy after the body fell onto a rug straight after I painted it so I want to strip the paint and start again,I don't know what the spray is as it doesnt mention wether its enamel or laquer.i have haerd alot of people mention purple power and a few other things but i cant source them or find them here.will brake fluid(dot3?) be ok? also need to strip some paint from resin wheels, they have tamiya undercoat and unknown spray and then I hand painted them with enamel but I want to start again with a new colour combo, can i use brake fluid on resin?
  7. Having a go at spraying my first body and have a few questions,I have done some searches but there is so much conflicting info out there. 1.do I need to wetsand the colour coat and polish it before laying on a clear coat? 2.do I then lay the clear coat and wetsand/polish that too? 3.im spraying my body gloss white, which colour wash for pnel lines would look best? Im assuming flat black would be too cartoonish? maybe a dark grey?
  8. Quoted from the owner... Sorry about the webshop guys but we have been a little busy, we are currently moving the workshop into a commercial premise at 60 Main Street Lobethal SA. My spring cleaning turned into a clean out and I am happy to say that the XB and the Police pack version are complete, there are loads of new parts to be uploaded to the webshop, but probably not till the new year...Save you're xmas $$$, you're gonna need em!
  9. Some nice builds there brett.
  10. some inspiration for your build....
  11. Here is Darrell in australia for bathurst.
  12. The engine is from the Nissan skyline GTR
  13. tempered or toughened glass cannot be cut-it will explode however the toughening zone doesnt extend right to the edge which means tempered glass can be run through a polishing machine to reduce the size of the glass by about 2mm,any more and it will hit the tempered zone and explode. as for OP you can cut glass tube with ceramic bits etc with plenty of water as lubricant,if it breaks just get the syringes as said earlier.
  14. Nice work brett, although from the sounds of things back home the nzdra decal may need updating soon.
  15. Sorry to hear about your loss,my cats too are just as much a part of the family as kids.Have always found comfort in this when a loved pet dies.... Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....
  16. stunning work again Kane,it's really hard to tell that it's a model-such a realistic job.
  17. im blown away by the amount of mods and detail you are putting into this especially on parts of the body that that hardly anyone will pick up on,its good to see people not willing to settle with minor imperfections.this looks great,i have the same body you started with ready to make it onto my bench and when i get to it you have definately inspired me to have a go at modifying the body.
  18. there is a version over here in aussie in resin and has optional chassis to go with it.may work out cheap enough http://cgi.ebay.com.au/RESIN-MONARO-04-05-DOORSLAMMER-1-24-1-25-SCALE-/180642578322?pt=AU_Toys_Hobbies_Model_Kits&hash=item2a0f22ff92
  19. this is coming together so well,so much detail to take in and all of it looks flawless, well done
  20. from what I have seen you post up here it's definately your best work so far brett.
  21. some amazing detail work here,i too delayed clicking on this topic as it didnt attract me then once in here it doesnt matter what the car is this scratch building is awesome.
  22. looks pretty good to me,a good choice of colour
  23. the problem is you have one turbo blowing into the intake manifold and the other one heading to your ice box in the cabin, what you need to do is have both turbo's run into one pipe which then leads to your ice box and then plumb that into the manifold as per marks pic he put up for you, what your doing now only allows one turbo to be intercooled.
  24. can you just decant some clear coat spray to get the same effect? or does it need to be future, having a hard time finding an equivelant over here.
  25. you should route both turbo's to your ice box and then have one intake pipe into the manifold making it rear facing manifold if you get what i mean?
