Casting tires is a headache molding is a bigger headache especially when making multiple molds of the same part it gets really annoying to make the same setup out of clay, after some thinking i came up with this setup its not 100% permanent but it wont get destroyed after one pour.
Youre gonna need wax, double boiler set up, basic clay tools and some shapes to pour them in
rather than trying to carve a circle out of wax i used the master itself then its always a perfect fit for the most part you dont have to mold release anything but the cup and tire.
first get the wax nice and melted
pour a little into the cup and master the tire it cools in about 20 minutes
after their both cooled solid use some melted wax to seal them together
heres the part on the fixture once poured i can flip the tire and re pour a new mold
i got lazy rather then using glue to fix the base to the mold box i poured some wax in there to seal it
here it is without the mold box.
