  1. this, but considering what revell has brought to the table in recent years they can kick rocks in that department, what annoys me is the crappy tires they come with like "hey lets make all our tires look like those crappy discount tires you get at wallmart" only makes the finished product look like something you rent at Avis combine that with crappy custom wheels and it looks like a old man that thought the 2200$ custom wheel option was a good idea.
  2. Wow thats a really good example of that kit.
  3. they were never narrowed tho not when they started using platform bodies the trunks do get shorter but i might be keeping it.
  4. model a rear fenders, packard front fenders, 77 cadillac promo base. the rest of the car will be sourced from various kits. im on the fence about the trunk i might bob it down a few scale inches to keep the stock bumper
  5. its been put away for a while but i put it up on FB see if something interesting comes along
  6. im gonna end up flipping this not happy with the fiesta wheels or anything else ive tried on it
  7. i wouldve but i lost the other 2 matching wheels i didnt really want to swap, theyll be other chances to bastardize another car.
  8. i ended up loosing the wheels i had planned on using and the substitutes werent any better so i decided to go Custom
  9. Its a Japanese thing traditionally seen on Bozosuku cars
  10. Nice work
  11. Waiting for the convertible but i love how this car looks
  12. supplies more than anything and got some of that microwaveable compound and its nice for what it does
  13. This is the closest one ive gotten to finish, its got a grainy texture to it but it sands really smooth with 320 some wheels are purposely made so that the texture cant be sanded off to give the wheels the finished casting look something thats kind of hard to do as it is..
  14. summer the latest i still have to test them out
  15. they went together really well. upon inspecting the hinge on the left will work with 60s door styles so its technically a 2 in one hinge, neither are direct fit but should work for at least a majority of hinge work
  16. Prototype 1 came in so far they looks like they take up the same footprint as brass hinges
  17. got my test hinges today and some special wheels for a build off.
  18. It wouldnt surprise me at that figure most modelers know its cheaper to get them direct fom japan than through any hobby shop Benz 722 SLR is almost 70$ here compared to the 35$ it costs to get it direct. They might or might not be but there has been a upswing in demand for revell civics by younger modelers, prices havent gotten out of hand yet like the Revell Lowrider Cadillac but that kit appreciated in value faster than any other revell kit in a really short time they were selling for 50-80$ at one point before they were reissued and a lot of people called it a pointless kit. Im in a club with people who have information on revell and they said before the best selling kit before the 50 olds, is the snap tite Camaro. The only reason the olds outsold the camaro is the years of hype following it but in 20 or 30 years when the younger builders get into the game what options are they gonna have? i know some teenage model builders and aside from revells current model offerings theres not much there, the cars that appeal to them are the same ones i posted with the exception of the missing Infinity's
  19. i am pushing to draw one but its gonna take time with limited resources and a Zd frame
  20. That only illustrates how out of touch you are
  21. yup theyre going on a 1/24 trans am they were mainly designed to fit pegasus tires.
  22. lol that woulve been awesome for making molds, i knew something was up when i saw the size of the extrusion wire.
