  1. Thanks. Figured I would toss them up here in case someone would like to build them.
  2. Thanks I just posted a new one with rigs. It's in the truck model forum.
  3. I would like to build the first to trucks in models and for real. Ok so the first Pic is a 1950 Chevy COE towtruck. The next pic is a 1950 COE motorhome. Then the Mack B model gun truck for a female character I designed. Also a US Army Rocket Sled B Model. And my version of thee SSR called the ASP since Chevy's Version was hideous. the Last one is a 1940 Willy's Ute. http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj291/ARTEMIS1759/Art%20Work/100_2216.jpg
  4. Deleted because of a duplicate.
  5. Those would be some cool loads.
  6. OK so I guess you are building a lakes roadster. Sweet. i said you should build one on the thread for your other roadster.
  7. Hey, look. That mountain road with no guard rail and car on the otherside must be here in Kosovo. Roads that are not quite wide enough for a Humvee so you scrape the side of your truck to stay off the edge.
  8. OK those are awesome.
  9. Funny thing is, I use them in some of my art work I do of cars and rods, lol.
  10. You know I thought about that after I posted. They look similar, lol. My bad. Nice truck though. Where does the term cracker box come from?
  11. I always freehand mine then go over it with a ruler and curves. I have a huge set of curves ranging from small to ship curves. Plus elipse templates. Not having stuff looking perfect drives me nuts. Though recently to get perspective right a good friend told me to trace cars over and over again so your mind is trained to draw in perspective.

    My Art...

I am 32 now and here are some I did. I can tell you exactly what the drivetrains and parts needed to build them are. This is why I want to build a rod shop to get some of these on the road. Some have jacked up proportions every now and then so I still need to redo those. This is my quick scetch of the '58 Chevy I want to build for myself. I had a 4 door in high school. This car has a twin Rotrex supercharged 409ci with EFI and a 6 speed with a quick change rear. I did this in about 20 minutes and used a hi-lighter for color. 409: This was an experiment with colored pencils. Did not like how it turned out. Mind you I have been self taught. Took a few art classes but they always pissed me off. This is one of 2 '72 Novas I did. This one has origins loosely based off the Fast & Furious Charger. And this one has a body kit like Elanor:
  13. That is awesome right down to the clear red vintage fuel line.
  14. My project when I get home off this deployment is going to be that L700 with flatbed and cool hotrod potential car. Then finish piecing together the Rubber Duck truck from three Macks to make it acurate and then onto a 1963 White 7000 COE like my dad used to have.
  15. You did an awesome job on this. I am an automotive artist and love these hotrods. If I may make a suggestion using the same style you may want to build a circle dirt track roadster too. The inline 6 was used quite a bit more then the flathead because it could be modified a lot more and was not so suceptible to overheating which was a drawback on the flathead. The inline 6 was the king of the hill untill Chevy came out with the 265 ci OHV V8 in '55. So good job on capturing a bit of history.
  16. Locals: O'hare Towing Service (800) 227-6890 2424 Wisconsin Ave, Downers Grove, IL 60515 2139 North Mannheim Road Northlake, IL 60164 Toll Free: 800-227-6890 3535 South State Street Lockport, IL 60441 Toll Free: 800-227-6890 424 Main Street Gardner, IL 60424 Toll Free: 800-227-6890
  17. A few more and other trucks that would be cool builds.
  18. Here are a couple more: OK so the first pic is their locations on the side. Must be 4 and you might be able to research the locals in Il using yahoo or google. I would say that the stickers pretty much remain the same from rig to rig just different locals.
  19. Hey, nice Avatar. What year is the White. I will have to check Wal-mart.
  20. Did not think so. I will keep searching.
  21. No problem. The rig kind of is colored like the old "Rainbow Brite" cartoon my sis used to watch, lol. Here is a pic from imcdb: It clearly has the rectangular sign probably covering the original sign on the doors.
