  1. Nice. 58 is my favorite year since I had a 4 door in high school back in 96. Looks good.
  2. Nice build. I like your overall choice. Especially making it a unibody like the old Fords.
  3. You think that is junk? You should see the '59 Chevy I started with for rebuilding for my dad. Pulled out of a field. Do you think these cars magically build themselves? I personally put 2 1/2 years into this car of night days and weekends. It ain't no cake walk I will tell you that.: It was a streetable mild rebuild and only a $6000 budget, lol. We also did all the work (everything) in my uncle's garage. Sorry to hi jack the thread.
  4. These are firetrucks: Not sure which Army this is: This is an American HMMT firetruck: And a bad Civilian version of a 6x6 prairie truck:
  5. And Military Truck Thread: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=32834&st=0&gopid=328932&
  6. Slovacian Military Land Rover (Lucky bastards): and Military Police Land Cruiser (even luckier bastards):
  7. If you download and zoom in you can read this sticker which is the same on all three sides of the bed:
  8. Here is some EOD (Explosive Odinance Disposal) trucks I got some pics of and a few of the NTV's (Non Tactical Vehicles) used on base. I plan to get a lot more pics before I leave since we have a lot of cool vehicles here. 1st off is a 5 ton EOD truck (I think this may be my first scratch build later on in 1:24th. Any Ideas for chassis or axles?):
  9. Chillin' in Kosovo

  10. They had The fleetside Cameo Carrier in 1955 1/2 body style to 1957 but all it was was a stepdide with fiberglass fenders. As seen here:
  11. On a 1:1 the stepside boxes are the same from around 1954 through 1987 or what ever the last year they made it. The only difference was until 1972 they also had a longbox stepside and the fenders changed with the body styles. I had a 1969 GMC long box 3/4T 4x4 and I found this out when I was looking for a replacement box. Just realized part of this was already stated sorry. But the earlier bed side tops sloped at about a 45 degree angle. This was the box from the 30s until 1953.
  12. The truck above that I said I liked the color scheme. That is what colors this one will be when I build the model and the 1:1 :
  13. That's sweet. i figured even though it is a 1:1 it is more for inspiration on builds of old and new and I have got some ideas from these die casts that I used on the drawing of my wrecker I did. These diecasts i have have enough detail to build a 1:1 off of. Thought I had some tanker pics. Apparently not online.
