  1. Funny I will be reviving this model over the next few months. Along with the W900 cement truck and The Pete wrecker. Just finished a Transtar II, Custom Green "Movin' on" W900 in Candy Jade green and a IH Paystar ith 5th wheel.
  2. All time favorite has been the 30s 40s and 50s COEs. But all time has to be the New Design 47-53 Cannonball style Chevy. The GMC I know had the Cannonball moniker. But I hate the grille. Second is as of late a 1955 IH COE. Doing a pic of a Tow truck like that. B model Macks are also good looking. Mack R model. Too many to list. Anything made before 1965. 1947 Mack Conventional. 30s White Trucks like the Stream lined tanker and Labatts Trucks.
  3. Could not tell you anything about price or fitment issues but my Dad has one he built in the 70s and it is a beautiful truck when finnished. Hes gota few accessories on his like logchains and stuff.
  4. My bad, sorry. I will see why the link broke when I get my comp back. I have a few of trucks like you got there.
  5. I actually designed the Road Warrior Mack with tanker on the LEGO builder that the LEGO website offers for a download and that is one on my to do list. Even thought there would be no air in the tanks I am sure it sounded bad ass starting up with the air starter.
  6. Nice job. Hopefully when I start restoring my Dad's rigs this set turns out this nice.
  7. Was there ever a kit made of the Ford COE? The original Gone in 60 seconds series of movies had a variety of rigs in them. Like this 1978 International Transtar from Gone in 60 Seconds 2: http://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_47183-International-Harvester-Transtar-II.html Just thought I would throw this in here: This is a screen shot from the retarded movie torque with 1960 Pete used as a double in Duel. Never noticed that. http://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_41159-Peterbilt-281-1960.html
  8. Oops. That is nice. I tend to agree with some of the others. I think skill level is the biggest thing. But when I settle down and get a descent place to build I think some undercarriage weathering and dirt on the tires will be a priority on most of my kits.
  9. Keep your head down over there. Just got back from Kosovo. Not much of a deployment. I would go Heavy hauler day cab route. You can email me at ARTEMIS1759@yahoo.com or if you are on facebook my login is ARTEMIS1759 or Terry Bender if you want or need to talk.
  10. That is sweet. I am kind of partial to the desert colr paint job (looks like saddle, gold and burnt orange) might have to try that.
  11. Generally you can almost guarantee that most of these older trucks have the same sheetmetal as their 1/2 ton counterparts. COE trucks is where it changed but usually only by cutting an reshaping the front lower corners of the cab and then adding a taller hood. I agree for kit bashing and scratcbuilding I would find a car from the desired year. It will take a lot of modification since the bodies started to go away from the car style in 35 but at least you will have a base to start with.
  12. That was the exact idea behind it. I thought I would throw them up here if someone would want to build them in scale.
  13. Nope, I think the designation is an M135 Mini-gun generally used on Blackhawks. Not actually mine but thought it was cool.
  14. Don't forget the "Blue Mule" in White Line Fever: http://imcdb.org/vehicle_40306-Ford-WT-9000-1974.html 1974 Ford Cabover.
  15. My favorite is the old B model Macks followed by the Cannonball Cabovers and then the 1964 White COE 7000 Model.
  16. Check these 1948 Macks out: 1939 Chevy 1961 White
  17. Yeah after I got back I was out of the loop. Check out the thread "Dad's truck Models" finally got pics of them all.
  18. Not much will work out of that kit. Here is a pic of a 35 Ford 1.5T. Of course it would have Duals on the back. This is a 34 so that kit would work here This is a 35 This is a 36 and an oddball 34 I found
  19. Well, chock up another beautiful build on its way to completion. If you have not checked it out, you need to see his model replica of his Chevelle. Outstanding.
  20. I guess it did not dawn on me that orange and white truck was a KW and the mier body went with it lol. I may have some things jacked up on what they are. Feel free to correct me.
  21. I figured there were some rare ones. Like the Bandag Bandit and a few others. I told my Dad this weekend if he never gets around to putting them together to keep them, cuz I want them when I settle down after college. The plan is to piece them all back together and build a diorama out of them. When I go with my wife to Tennessee for college I plan to take a few, like the California Special, KW Cement Mixer, KW wrecker, The Duck, The "Movin on" rig and BJ and the bear.
  22. I am positive he handbuilt the Annhydrous tanks which of 4 or 5 there is only one left.
