  1. I found that they switch stuff out quite a bit, but they may very well be different from region to region. And also I watched it on my PS3 which is also different to computer sometimes. I know Convoy is a regular and just saw they had Breaker, Breaker too.
  2. Heres another one. It is based off the old Bomber station but this one looked perfect together.
  3. OK thanks. I was just curious.
  4. So another question is their any specific color associated with submariners?
  5. Wow, keep up the good work.
  6. Thanks, still serving or retired?
  7. Oh I don't have money or time at the moment but yes I plan to build a dio of my shop to use for models and then use it as a representation for my 1:1 when I build it and now it looks like I will be building a dealership too. I mess around with google sketchup which is a free CAD program. It is good for me because I have a million ideas running around my head. To date I have done a different version of my shop, numerous cars and trucks, my dream log cabin and the Palace Amusements amusement park in Jersey. As I have said in other posts this program would be great for all you dio builders out there. Because everything can be made to scale.
  8. I picked up a 69 GMC 3/4 ton 4x4 long box stepside like that. Owned by the Univ. of Wyoming it had 40000 miles on it and clean except the seat and rear fenders wich had the tops caved in. But had, radio delete and power nothing except for pulling. 4.56 and super granny low 4 speed meant nothing could stop it even with the 305 I put in it temporarily. Until it got a 65 foot cottonwood on its head during a windstorm and that was the end of her. I about cried. Nice find though.
  9. Wow, interesting article on the tie with mason's.
  10. I mean on the otherside...half a belt???
  11. Here is another idea that inspired me to redesign my shop again for the umpteenth time. It is an old Chevy dealership/gas station in a small town near me. There are also the sketchup pics of how I believe it looked. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=53889
  12. **Son of a Bleep**....Thats all I can say. Sweet.
  13. More......I am not sure what fuel was sold but (correct me if I am wrong) it sure looks like it had a station built into the corner as a few dealerships did back in the day.
  14. So here we got a 51 Chevy 4100 Tow truck I did and a Dealership that is abandoned that inspired me to redesign my shop. It was abandoned about 20 years ago which is a shame because it is so beautiful and I could not imagine how it looked with all it's neon lit up. It is so delapitated that it would take someone with a butt load of money to restore or rebuild it for another purpose. Wouldn't mind the signage though. My version is circa 1957, It is still a WIP. I would imagine all the glass blocks in the showroom were backlit.
  15. Think Deora or maybe you are. I would do the cuts similar to this then lay the pillars back by scoring the back side and wedge cutting them and here is a pic of the Deora.
  16. Not quite an L700 but this was a quick sketch of a lowered 61 White COE for drag with a V12 Detroit Diesel.
  17. So, I will post pics when I am done since I just started on it tonight. I found out earlier that the people of North Dakota have been asked to design a coat of arms for the newly Commissioned and being built SSN North Dakota so I got until March 15 to do my own design. I think I got a winner. Guess we'll find out.
  18. Good job.
  19. Hey, Just out of curiosity, what is with the belts on the front of the engine? Looks like there is only half a belt on the upper left. Lookin great though.
  20. NoDak ain't got mountains up this way. Probably Ellsworth Air Base in SD near Rapid. They have an ass load of military planes vintage and modern there. Looks like a possible resto? As for the NASA COE they probably still have it in use or stashed away somewhere since they still have those three needle nose Pete's.
  21. So anyone ever attempted these trucks. Watched it last night. The black truck (all black on black) is a ghost truck like Phantom 309. It is a 1967 Dodge L-1000 COE and would be a sinister looking model. The 1972 Pete 359 was a hijacked, stolen and repainted truck that this guy that sounds like Quick Draw McGraw lol, takes cross country on a series of adventures. Good B movie.
  22. That's a great sketch. What did you use and what paper?
  23. Yep and the thing is is you can make it toscale. So say you were building a model you could design parts, pieces or the mods and play around with it to get it to look right.
  24. You know, you get done with that and the knowledge you will gain from the conversion you should build a few new phantom COEs from the new truck kits. Would be interesting to see could have beens.
