1955 Ford F100 Army Gasser
ARTEMIS1759 replied to Thor's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
http://olive-drab.com/ It would be cool. Check this site. It is for military vehicles and has lots of info and pics. -
I guess brilliant minds think alike lol. Looks awesome.

Yeah great design. For aeros and to keep with the traditional but update, look at art decco era stuff. Most designs can be updated easily because the lines flow so easy like modern cars. I have studied a lot with this era of cars. If you don't mind a slight hijacking this is my design for my own company called Masterson Brothers (old family name) it would be powered by a twin turbo V12 Lambo engine and 6 speed. Funny I used to work in pencil all the time. Until I wanted color and then yesterday decided to do more pencil lol. The way you sketched yours out is usually what I end up with until I brain storm somemore. I have 100s of various size pieces of paper with little sketches from components to vehicles and everything in between. Keep up the good work though. Sorry again if I hijacked it. And on an end note do like Harry said and round out the fender wells. But if you notice on mine, the back of the fenderwells pretty much are in line with the tops of the fenders like a tear drop shape. The roof and door design is good as there were a few cars that had that in that era but try and do a little more work on it to make it look more Duse then Bugatti. With yours and Harry's idea mixed maybe try this with the back:

Truck Terminal Diorama

Yeah that is why we figure this house should have a fair amount of space. Its about 750 squ feet give or take. -
Truck Terminal Diorama
ARTEMIS1759 replied to chuckyr's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
That is another idea I can add to my list. Me and my Dad are working on building one big diorama for our trucks and other vehicles. Functional Grain Elevator, Truck Stop, Truck Repair, Dealership, Junkyard and a few stores. He has an abandon 2 bedroom house we plan to rip the walls out of. -
I made this website mainly to showcase what I have. http://www.wix.com/artemis1759/high-plains-art?ref=nf

Should send it to Chrome Shop Mafia. God, what will I do when I get my shop going? Gonna have to find some high dollar players.

Hey as an artist and modeler I was wondering since the truck forum was separate would it be feasible for an Art section there? Just wondering if people would use it and if the moderators would be good with it. I like all types of models but prefer trucks and usually I link to my art in the Auto art section if it is a rig. Thanks for looking. I think the art sections also act as inspiration for new builds.

70-72 Cutlass Supreme Hardtop
ARTEMIS1759 replied to 66belair's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Then again I didn't think of it you could bash a 70 Chevelle body because the Chevelle, GTO and Cutlass have the same main body for the most part. So in sequence GTO, Cutlass, and Chevelle. So maybe on that behalf cross a chevellr body with a back halved monte roof? From the doors back? Maybe like my poor photoshop. -

ARTEMIS1759 replied to 66belair's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Yeah, I was so happy that they had a Cutlass (my fav muscle car of all time) and then wham, I pick it up and see its a 'vert. So needless to say I don't have it yet. I think it would have been a better seller as a W30 442 HT. I guess I like the fastback though. But if they did the formal roof it would be a little easier to convert. -
Pro Tour Dually
ARTEMIS1759 replied to justin2020's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Awesome. So curiosity sake was the inside of the tailgate intentionally curved? (looks like a makeshift tailgate party chair ). Normally they are flat to slide stuff across. If it wasn't intentional, if anyone asks its a seat. -
Thanks. It was a hell of a project. Only took a half hour to design in my head and about another half hour to sketch lol. I am racked,

Ok all so I don't have to start a new post. I wanted to show what a K200 Kustom would look like. But as my mind usually throws stuff together it takes a right turn. Here is my rendition of a modern K500 Bullnose. Check it out....http://www.modelcars...showtopic=54693...would lead me to see a resurgence in old style. Someone else can repost the pics if they want. I'll just shoot the link. I kept with the style of the K200 and original K500 and spun it off from there. Enjoy. If someone would like to build this (since at the moment this is beyond my capabilities) i could do a few more views for you. Just PM me. All I ask for is the credit for the design (if it is displayed or when you post it anywhere online) and some pics. I actually envisioned this rig like some of you guys have been doing. Stretched with a huge sleeper and quad axles. I can also do a modern rendition of an early 50s reefer to match the truck. I also could do a stretched sketch. Whatever you think.

Delegate Motors Tow Truck

Good job on using the chevy cab. Good thinking. -
So I stared with an idea for a Kustom Aussie K200 snubnose but thought what the hell, lets make a modern Bullnose. So this is what I got. I redesigned most of the truck to give it the modern/nostalgic feel. I redesigned the side windows, roof line, grille, nose, steps, headlights and bumpers for starters. Then I was going to add color but decided I hadn't done a pencil drawing in a while so here it is. The wheels have a "chunky" edge because I was trying to copy the original split rim design which I think looks more HD so I kept it. Of course they are only for looks without the split rim and think polished would be sweet. I plan to do a right front 3/4 view in the future. So why don't they bring the "Bullnose" back? Should have better aero then a snubnose like the K200. If someone would like to build this (since at the moment this is beyond my capabilities) i could do a few more views for you. Just PM me. All I ask for is the credit for the design (if it is displayed or when you post it anywhere online) and some pics. I actually envisioned this rig like some of you guys have been doing. This is the kind of work I love. If you got netflix they have "Street Customs" on there and one of the episodes is the build up of this truck. I believe Stallone paid for this truck to be built because West Coast is not listed in the ending credits. He has the good one yet. I believe the grille has everything filled and shaved with 53 Desoto teeth. It has a drawer under the dash that pops out when pushed on to reveal his pistol and I believe one to hide a weapon in the center console. It is a 347 stroker. The hood port holes are kustom built. I think 5 inches were shaved off the top. "Sly did, however, manage to make room for another pivotal figure in his action equation, in the form of this flat black, low and lethal '55 Ford F-100. West Coast Customs, known purveyors of the most sinister of custom street rides, was given full responsibility to create a hardcore, rolling soldier that was tough enough to hang with the rest of the cast. The automotive co-star of the film's band of mercenaries' trade has been given a credible street treatment as it has been dropped with Heidts performance suspension products, and trucks hard on General Tire-equipped 20/22-inch Asanti five-spokes. Imagine being chased down and sprayed with bullets by a truck looking as menacing as this one. Now try to imagine a ripped, take-no-bull, wall of a man as big as Mr. Stallone behind the wheel and wielding the gun. Luckily, most of us will only see that kind of action in theaters. To keep the '55 on the tails of its targets, an ATK-supplied high-performance 302ci small-block has been stroked to a beastly 347ci powerplant and is topped by several Edelbrock go-fast goodies. A B&M transmission helps the Ford cut its way through traffic like a blood-thirsty savage. The West Coast crew forged on by incorporating a Gibson exhaust system, Sanderson headers, MSD Ignition products, and a March Performance pulley setup to beef up the F-100's brawn. This truck, after all, was built to showcase a degree of balls-to-the-wall prowess meant to strike fear and fright into the hearts of its prey. Inside the cockpit of this mobile corpse creator are two secret compartments, one underneath the center of the dash, which houses a 1911 .45 prop pistol, and one at the rear of the center console that conceals what we've identified as an MP9 submachine gun prop. You definitely wouldn't want to catch Sly and his killer ride on a bad day. AutoLoc gauges, Cerullo seats, a Flaming River steering wheel, a Gennie 'Commander' shifter, 'Orbit' knob, and carpet and headliner material from LMC Truck round out the rest of the non-threatening amenities found inside the Ford's cabin. The dash has also been smoothed and painted to match the same matte color as the exterior, for an all-around, under-the-radar appearance. Plus more pics including build up. Read more: http://www.truckinwe...l#ixzz1nDXM6bcv This is the rest of the article and a pic of the pistol: And more pics at WCC site http://www.westcoast...the-expendables And a model build: http://www.automotivearticles.com/t1058558-ford-f100-1953-quot-the-expendables-quot-.html

K, keep us updated. I couldn't find it on ebay international or ebay uk or any info for that matter. -
My daily 93 Chevy FS 2 door Blazer 4x4 has a cammed 350 from my wrecked 94 Yukon 2 dr and a kitted 4l60e. The 58 Chevy 4 door Del Ray that I am so close to final negotiations on has the blueflame 235 I6 and 3 on the tree which will become my new daily driver. Hope to find an overdrive unit for it but if not it will also get a 4l60 behind the 6 since I have one I am rebuilding.
