Need these wheels but I think I may have to buy this truck and scavenge them. Wonder if anybody would make a resin set of these for me if I buy the kit so I don't have the diecast with no wheels? Other people would prob buy them. Someone should also make a photoetch wrecker kit with all the accessories. I may make a Texaco Decal kit for this truck for more wreck decals. I would probably buy a few sets of the wheels.

Here might be some usable mirrors: http://stores.scaledreams.com/-strse-458/Street-Rod-Billet-Mirrors/Detail.bok Just mount them to the hinge. -

My favorite Pickup of all time. Looking for a 1:1 5 window with an 8 foot box. Looks good. I have a Texaco tow truck thread on here with the same advanced series truck as this. What did you use for the details on the engine? Was looking to wire it and all. Mrton, not sure how to remove the paint but more trucks in this style came painted with factory paint grille with a cream color on the inner pieces. (in case it don't work for ya.) I never noticed, does this truck not come with mirrors? Looks like other builds on the forum don't have them either. -
GM pickups
ARTEMIS1759 replied to Terry Jessee's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
What model did you use? I used to have a 69 GMC 3/4t 4x4 long box stepside. Had super granny low 4 speed and 4.56s with a factory detroit locker. Top end was 65 but nothing could stop it. -

B87 Heavy Haul with Michigan Loader WIP Sketchup
ARTEMIS1759 replied to ARTEMIS1759's topic in Auto Art
OK all here is the finished B87 and a K100 Ultimate Camper with garage and boot from a train so you can go between the cab and trailer. The Bull Dozer is as close to a 1960s Allis-Chalmers as I could get without pictures (my internet went down). Redid the tires and wheels and interior on the truck. The trailer is a conglomeration of a few crappy pics I had of a 60s lowboy. Tell me how close I came on the dozer and trailer. K100 (an idea me and my Dad had about 20 years back) -

It was stored that way since at the time it wasn't loaded. Saw a model like that. Not sure if it's right. -
So this is still a WIP but had to show it. It is a 1965 Mack B87 with winch rack. It has an air starter and an 8v71 Detroit with a 5 speed. It has dual fuel tanks, Air Tank, Dual battery boxes and a hydraulic tank. Dual stacks, dual air cleaners and period cab lights. The trailer still needs work to make it a 60s lowboy. Loader is an late 50s Michigan. I am also working on period correct Dayton wheels. Truck also still needs fenders. "Papa Thermadyne came from the movie "Handle with care" who was a retired trucker.

STAR FIRE! ...( 59 Impala Flying Car) Update: 3-29-12
ARTEMIS1759 replied to Ira's topic in WIP: Model Cars
I got a similar car (not flying) I wanted to do. It is a modern take on a 59 Impala. Model 59-409 Chevrolet Impala. -
Looks good. Almost bought a 1:1 white 90 Supra Turbo Targa with the manual until the guy got drunk and got t boned by a light post. He wasn't injured but the Supra was another story. I love drunks. lol. I used to work as a bouncer for 6 years at a strip joint and now I am a bouncer again at a bar and need to remind myself of this all the time.

Hey, great build. I was thinking for a kustom touch. You should leave the tubes a little longer and have just the tops of the air cleaners flush with the top of the hood.

Looks good, keep it up.

Hey anyone know which model that was out a few years back of a triple axle wrecker that they wanted like 250 bucks?! Which I thought was nuts but everything worked on it. -

I agree. Anyone know where I can get the big 20.00 x 16s in 1/24 or 1/25? Also known as 52"? -
Looks good. I remember that movie.
