  1. OR... I can remove the front grill and just paint over it with flat black to remove the shine. Then I can hit the lower grills the same way to match, along with some flat white for the directionals. Good suggestion!
  2. I need to get this and the Lincoln Futura kit and do them. Love the look of these cars. Good job!
  3. Nice. A color other than flat black on one of these. Great stuff!
  4. The car is killer, and the wall art is completely off the chain! (I'm a Harley fan!) Beautiful!
  5. Sharp blade!!
  6. This model kit gives me hope that there is a Pontiac Gran Prix out there somewhere for this same year. The body lines are almost identical, although the front grill is different.
  7. Some of the gold lowrider owners here had their grills blacked out to set off the gold paint and chrome bumpers. It's a different kind of look, I'll concede to that. Yup, true that. I'll paint some on later and take some more pix. Thanks, guys!!! P.S. - don't say anything too loud, but those are Ford Mustang Mach 1 decals on the hood. The shape and length of them fit that hood perfectly!
  8. I've always loved these cars. Very stylish 80's. Cool!
  9. Last set...
  10. I used Tamiya Smoke spray to tint the windows. Much better than the crystal ball look. I ran out of BMF, so I had to hand-paint the trim. Will go back and correct this later.
  11. It's amazing what some nice wheels, extra decals, blackwash, and some BMF will do for snap kits. Paint is Inca Gold and Flat Black for the vinyl top. Interior done in semi-gloss black with gold accents. I hate stray cat hairs that only show up in the pictures. Fortunately all I had to do was pluck it off. Grrrr.....
  12. The driver in this pic has a look of "Hold on! I'm gonna try something stupid!!!!"
  13. Just finished this one. It's the Revell Snap Tite Chevrolet Impala '05 Cop Car that I painted black and added FBI decals to. Another simple build, it's getting me back into the swing of modelling again. Interior started as blue molded plastic, shot it with gray primer and left it that way.
  14. Positively vaporware. You should know by now... you can never buy "Happiness"...
  15. Go here. Everything you ever wanted to know about the Belvedere/Fury of that era. http://www.allpar.com/history/plymouth/1946-1959/cars-1957.html
  16. I just signed back on. I haven't been there in quite a while. Thanks for the comments!
  17. I agree. With that screw-in base though it makes modding it bleeding difficult. If only the suspension was not molded to the chassis, then I would adjust it to bring it more forward. I'll have to research it to see if anyone has an answer for that problem.
  18. Adding to my "local government" collection, here is the Fire Marshal Crown Vic which started out as the Tennessee State Trooper car by Lindberg.
  19. I'll eventually get a set of the S@H wheels for the red tomato. They look so much better than the stock kit ones.
  20. That bumper can be problematic. If you don't hold it there for awhile to let the glue set, it'll tip forward and sag like that. Still love the car and the build. Great stuff!!!
  21. Glad you got rid of the "donk" version. Beautiful stance and paintjob!
  22. Durr... Dullcoat is correct. Had my mind set on clearcoat for some reason. DULLCOAT is what you'd use.
