  1. Better shot of the dirty'ed up tan interior... Obligatory engine shot, also oiled up somewhat... Test shot of the olive drab body resting on the frame...
  2. Well, finally time to post up some pics of what I'm working on. My first build in well over a YEAR., Interior mostly finished... still adding a few things... Fire extinguisher mounted between seats and behind spare tire... Custom bracket for shovel and diamond plate flooring... More coming...
  3. Simulated wood-grain. LOL!
  4. Mine just arrived today. There is a template in the instructions that measures out the door to cut into the styrene wall. And the decals in it are incredible. Definitely a must-have kit for displaying your cars!
  5. Yup, same page I found. You'll want unscented, which this one is. It's acrylic so you'd be good to go.
  6. Bring a good sized wallet if you intend to shop there. Just walking through the aisles of that store and other similar craft stores like it is dangerous, as it will give you all sorts of devilishly cool ideas to further your hobbying addiction. The dollhouse stuff in European G scale make nice furniture for our models in diorama form.
  7. Subscribed. I need a set of these for my S&H when I can get to it.
  8. Yup, I managed to get my two and that was it. I saw them still floating around fleaBay for a few more months then nothing after that.
  9. Yeah, for whatever reason, it's getting harder to find individual bottles for sale online, forget about finding any in an actual STORE..... It doesn't hurt to get 4 or so bottles at a time though, especially to squirrel away 2 or 3 to make sure you have some in case it's phased out altogether.
  10. And one more AMT kit that won't break the bank and looks awesome is the '68 Chevy El Camino kit... Here's mine in Aztec Gold and a few aftermarket decals thrown on...
  11. If you're looking for a great AMT kit that goes together really easily and doesn't fight you, not to mention looks great with other muscle cars on your shelf, the AMT '71 Plymouth Duster comes to mind. It's only flaw is how to get the rear quarter windows on each side to stay attached when mounting the interior to the body, but beyond that it's beautiful build. Here's mine in red with the "Halloween" interior and 340 Wedge engine... EDIT: Whoops! Forgot to mention I used a different air cleaner and carb setup for the top of the motor, something more akin to the Roadrunner. Still, not too shabby a build.
  12. Anyone know a good model spray paint to use for Harley Orange? I know it has a reddish tint to the orange and not as bright.
  13. When that car comes out someone needs to disassemble it, make a molding, and cast it in resin. I want an open trunk for all the Colt pistols, knives, stakes, sawed-off shotguns, and Enochian warding scripts I can cram into it. Driver picks the music, shotgun shuts his cake-hole.
  14. When I buy a kit I empty the parts into a gallon Ziploc bag with paper towels inside (unless there are separate small bags for the trees), then cut up the box to keep the pictures as reference points. I put the instructions and decals in a separate bag organized by kit manufacturer and type of vehicle so that they won't get damaged from moving them around. I have A LOT of kits, and this saves me a ton of space.
  15. I just picked this up from Galaxie based on this thread alone. I have some Harley Davidson decals just ITCHING to go on this trailer. Sweet.
  16. Got one of these in my stash, may have to be next. Nice job!
  17. Stunning! I'd love to see how you lowered it, and those wheels are great in that stance.
  18. Alright... I'll bite, since I was only going on what I was told. Why did the '71 Demon get cancelled in the first place?
  19. I'm building this one now as a forestry ranger truck. The top looks a little shaky so I'll probably put in a rollbar for roof support as I want it removable and available at the same time. Nice build!
  20. Nice dobie. I may have to get that one.... Thanks!
  21. Yup, sheet styrene is the easiest way to go. Look up the alternator bracket for the model year on Google for an image and draw the pattern onto the sheet, then cut it out, paint it, and mount it to the block.
  22. When this baby hits 88 miles per hour.....
