  1. Nope... sorry. I can't see the car you speaketh of. Yowza.
  2. Ye GAWDS. Somebody sure took an ugly stick and bashed it all over that '50s Chevy. Urk.....
  3. Just got my Johan Heavenly Hearse to go along with my Johan Fire/Rescue Cadillac Ambulance. Also picked up a Revell Hurst Olds. Sweet.
  4. Awesome work, and welcome to RAMS!
  5. WITH camper trailer..... YES. (NOTE: funny man in fishing hat, frontier wifey, 60's li'l buckaroo, and Lassie not included with purchase...)
  6. Redline Club all the way! Great idea!!!!
  7. Wow. What did these poor cars ever do to people? Must've been real bad to deserve this treatment.
  8. '70 AAR Cuda 340 "Bandit" Edition Tran Am (built from the new model Camaro)
  9. I just picked up the Johan Fire/Ambulance kit on fleaBay and want to convert it to a hearse. Did anyone make a conversion kit that does this, or am I going to have to piece it together from all the resin parts people are selling on eBay? Thanks!!
  10. Military Surplus outlets often have cleaned up (or sometimes NOT clean! Eww....) office equipment like file cabinets, desks, bookcases, safes, shelving, school desks, notary stations (document tables), lamp lighting, post office centers, tool racks, mapping or plotter desks, and other reclaimed furniture for cheap that work wonders for hobbying needs. Always a great place to find good workstation furniture there.
  11. With the recent '70 Revell Cuda in 1:25 scale, I'm hoping for both a '71 conversion with gills and an AAR '70, neither of which require extensive modifications. The '71 would need an appropriate grill, taillights, and gills on the side along with proper billboards and hockey-stick striping. The AAR would need a proper hood and markings to bring it to life. A convertible in either '70 or '71 is also not out of the realm of possibility here.
  12. RARELY do I ever build one identical to the box. I like to research pics of the 1:1 car in question and/or letting my creativity out of the bottle.
  13. Stock or not, this kit has some serious potential. I've been wanting a decent '70 Charger for a long time without having to pay "Johan premium" for it, or fight with resin castings that may or may not have imperfections, be exact, etc... I intend to buy at least 2~3 of this kit AND a number of them when the base stock kits come out. The look of that engine alone just screams "parts swap" !!! Now, I wonder what the General Lee would look like with a blower popping out of the hood like that.....
  14. Any new word on this yet? Still high on the want list.
  15. I'm intrigued. Won't cross my eyes if I need to swap out a few things for a more accurate build.
  16. Just got back. I picked up... Miami Vice Spyder Snap 77 Monte Carlo Ferrari California 71 Mustang Ford GT Mustang 2-in-1 Revell 80's Camaro Monogram '55 Ford Pickup Revell Snap Police Car Not too shabby a haul. Several of the kits mentioned in this thread were there that I didn't get except for the Little Red Wagon which was sold out. No BHC Novas either. Ohh well.
  17. Good choice on this! Another similar choice would be to go to your local DMV website and find the "license plate maker" they most often have there. Pick your plate with graphics on it, add your personal text, preview the results, then capture the pic and resize it to fit to scale. Great for current or new plates or even local colleges and university pride plates as well! A personal plate for a model of a friend's car from VCU (Virginia Commonwealth University)...
  18. Nice car! I love how these kits build up. My Kammback Blackbird build if anyone is interested. I've got both the TransAm and Camaro Kammbacks stashed away until I get time to work on them, and then I'm going to combine them with the Revell 3-in-1 Firebird kit and the 3-in-1 Camaro kit to retro them back to the mid-seventies. It will take some modding and cutting out the engine bays for both but it should look awesome when done.
  19. Nice 'n purty dirty engine! Excellent build!
