Is this what passes for Pro Built?
Hypermung replied to Evil Appetite's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Pro Built eh?..... I wonder what else she done between tricks. I've heard of them eating apples whilst 'Ahem' but building models?..... -
... I'd rather drive this generic, ugly car than that red piece of garbage shown above....WHAT WERE THEY THINKING...... REALLY.......... I think the designers must have forgotten to take their meds that week. I mean the rear of the roof-line is totally wrong looking, & the front end looks like it was salvaged from a BAD 80's 'Custom' shop.

Hubcap Identification
Hypermung replied to Hypermung's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Do you mean 1:1 or 1: 25 Ed? -
Hi Guys. Whilst going thru one of my 59 Dodge kits today I found these hubcaps supplied with the kit. Definately not 58 or 59 Dodge, but I wonder if anyone can identify them (or maybe need them?) They are the single sided JoHan promo type with the axle mount moulded in & are not chromed. They have a Tri Bar arrangement & (what appears to be) 3 small chevy emblems moulded between the bars. I seem to recall a discussion about Chevy Tri Bar spinner hubcaps somewhere on this forum, but for the life of me (no matter how hard I search), I can't seem to locate it. Not being much into Chevys, I'm at a loss as to what they are .....................Any thoughts fellas?

Ed.... Have you thought about spraying the foam onto a smooth surface covered in plastic sandwich wrap? That should allow for easy removal

In sunny North Queensland (Skin Cancer Capital of Australia) the daytime temp is around 91deg f & that drops to a chilly 77deg f overnight. Our winter temp rarely gets below 52 deg f for the 2-3 weeks per year that winter lasts. Sometimes I envy you guys that live where that white stuff falls from the skies (NO, not golf balls)

What's up with The Parts Box
Hypermung replied to ShineyM3's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
...... I'm not sure what 'Utes' you've seen Ed, But I think the Parts Box does some?. The other Aussie place for Aussie bodied utes & sedans is 'Scale Automobilia'.....http://www.scaleautomobilia.com.au/... Lots of good stuff also. This is the link to their Aussie cars page....http://www.scaleautomobilia.com.au/aussiecars.htm -
I just checked my emails & there's a message from 'PayPal' informing me about 'important policy changes' & encouraging me to click on the link & enter my login details...... DUHHHH. Will the scammers never learn? I'll forward that one straight to spoof@paypal & delete. The thing about this one though is that it wasn't very well done either. Not a very convincing fake email.

.... Of course they'll be making money off the 'holdings', that's what they do well. Money for nothing.... I'm surprised no one has mentioned anything about the exchange rate yet, or perhaps I just notice it because I buy from the US frequently, whereas you may not purchase from overseas often. I always use paypal to pay for purchases from the US & when paypal converts the Aussie dollar to US dollars there is ALWAYS a 2-3c discrepancy. Say if the Aussie dollar is worth 99.999c to the greenback, then paypal only gives you say 97.887c as an exchange rate. Now 2-3c mightn't sound like much & I might sound like a whinger, but 2-3c in the dollar for EVERY dollar, for EVERY transaction world-wide, EVERY DAY is some serious bucks for basically doing nothing. Why can't they use this skimmed millions to pay the non received items claims?? Because they've worked out another way (the 21 day thing), & make a few more million along the way.... That's why

NICE drawings Gary... Really well done. All those choppers remind me of an old joke..... 'Why is a Harley like a farmers dog?.... They both like a ride in the back of a truck after a hard day.

OLD BIG SCALE JAGUAR QUESTION?!?!?!?!
Hypermung replied to wraith's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I'd be absolutely TICKLED PINK if I ever found a kit that my Dad & I assembled when I was young... I don't believe any exist anymore. BUT, if one did ever surface, I'd treat it to the 'Royal Restoration' for sure, wether it be armour, wings or rubber.... Cherish what you have 'cause others would kill for that type of opportunity. -
Just watch out that you don't get Crankified though..... It's addictive you know.... lol

An Airstream ....... Now there's a great candidate that should be re-popped in resin

Building Music
Hypermung replied to walt francis's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I like to listen to anything from Pink Floyd, but every time I do, the missus yells out "turn that bloody drug music off".... So conciquently I have to wait for her to leave the house before I can get my PF hit...Sheesh... some people got no taste -

I REALLY need to know 'cause the week before I'm gunna get a loan for a Ferrari... Hey, you won't have to pay it back, & if you gotta go then you may as well go in style....

Aussie '78 Ford Falcon XC Cobra Coupe
Hypermung replied to MrBlueOval's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
You're dead right there Charlie... Ford US was calling the design shots for Ford Australia @ that time (come to think of it, Detroit GM was also into Holdens ear as well)... One thing we never got over here though was the 2 door version of this car.... 4 doors only
