  1. Darren nice work on your fruit truck are you going lengthen the wheel base.
  2. Was able to get some primer on will need to wet sand it a little still have some ruff areas.

  4. Wet sanding the clear coat I burned through to the primer so it's in for a new paint job. Still going to be same colors.
  5. Don thanks for the comments the valve covers were chrome on the 426 and for the run by the drivers vent it all gets BMF in that area.
  6. Thanks Dennis. I used BMF with a coat of black wash to dull it a little.
  7. Here's my progress for today. More detail on the engine compartment and painted the top white. Still need to cleat coat.
  8. Ron I agree I've been doing the same with my build and have been very pleased with the fit and finish on the kit. What colors are you going with?

  11. I received my MAD wired distributor this week and installed it today and a little more work on the engine. Test fit it in the engine in the engine bay.

  13. Thanks John, by the way the hot rod parts go getter has a creat Hemi in the back of it.
  14. Greg np, I also polished the aluminum plat with cheese cloth to make it shine.
  15. Greg thanks the steering wheel is just a test fit for the picture I used Testors Aluminum plate spray for the silver.
  16. Here's today's progress. Built and painted the engine and worked on the dash board.

  18. My progress is moving along I've started wet sanding the body and painted the interior. Today I plan to paint the top white and work on the engine. Here's where I'm at now.
  19. Thanks Joseph, that confirms the 65 brochure I found with it being turquoise.
  20. I have a Question. What color was the 426 Wedge in 65. I've seen Hemi Orange and have reference with turquoise and Moebius has Blue. I think it should be the Hemi Orange.
  21. Looking good Joe and with all the rain we are suppose to get this weekend you should be able to get a little more time to work on it. I know I'm planning to with mine.

Anthony I place the BMF on after I primer and clean off the paint after each coat with either a tooth pick soaked in paint thinner or the new BMF scribe that I received at the Austin model show. It's nylon stick with beveled ends. I clear coat after cleaning off the paint. Thanks for the comments so far everything is fitting together good.
