  1. Great job!
  2. This was fun build and I had a vision of what I wanted before I started. All simple stuff from around the house. I built it for a Christmas gift last year. Imagine asking someone hey, you still have that gift? If so, can I have it back?
  3. Love'em!!!!
  4. Man that's sharp!!!
  5. My link My excitement was at an all time high, time to attach the body to the frame. Yes! Only to realize the shroud doesn’t properly fit around the rear cockpit panel and over the steering support tube. Ok, time to break out the Dremel. Click link above for prior postings, for reasons unknow I was not allowed to add more images to the original thread. Still not over the decal…
  6. Thanks Guys. This was a very enjoyable build. The only issue I had w/ the kit it self was the windshield. The instructions noted you must trim an 1/8th†off the bottom of the front sides where it places into the vent. Right? Ok. …I ended up shaving them a little on the short side. I assume that windshield is used in multiple kits.
  7. Ha! One brass pole to be added!
  8. Thats a great idea. I would be willing to trade if anyone could help out.
  9. Ha! I wondered about that too, but according to the instructions... Then after doing some research I found the SP wires ran across the front. Next time!!
  10. I’ve had the Red Hots box long before the Super Bee kit, knowing I would use it for something. Well that something paid off when I read a post on using aluminum foil for molding lines. That got me to thinking about other shapes could be fabricated, and well, here’s what I came up with.
  11. My link
  12. Great detail!
  13. Well done!!
  14. Looks cool so far, that last image is great!
  15. Yep that was a money shot! Thanks for your reply! I have more I working on, just not enough hours in a day to do it.
  16. Thanks!
  17. I was more than hesitant at posting this as these images aren’t that great (will update over the weekend)and shiny looking builds aren’t my specialty…well not that anything is really! But,with this car I had to give it a shot! The body IMO looked great right out of the box very little prep work need to be done. The rear wheels are another story as are a few of the parts and too many chrome parts (again IMO). Careful what you wish for… The deeper I got, more the minor problems started popping up. Some pieces just don’t fit right and honestly my enthusiasm is about out the window on this build so I just didn’t have it in me to start fabricating or altering parts. Now that said, this is the first funny car I’ve built so these little things may be common. So, I dug out a few great old albums, said F it and move forward, the last thing I’m going to do is let a box of plastic get me down! LOL Imagine my disappointment when I realized the decals weren’t quite opaque enough to cover my paint lines.
  18. I wanted something more than displaying my models on a shelf, not to mention my Bearded Dragon is getting a little annoyed we me using his habitat. With that said, I found some great images to use as backdrops for several simple dioramas. Most states and larger cities have a Film Commission and offer resourceful information (quality images) on their websites.
  19. Nice work, very nice!!!
  20. Very Cool! Bring it on!!
  21. Wow, just speachless!
  22. That's way cool!!
  23. Better get it while you can!
  24. Anyone here from the Memphis, TN area?
