  1. i use Zero paints grey primer , ready to airbrush , it covers and sands well , i used to use auto primer in cans , but now i use the zero primer and will never go back now

  3. Hi guys , i am in need of some help as to the best way to apply carbon fibre decal to a bonnet , without getting creases , i have got micro set and sol, but it keeps getting creasese in it , any tip or tricks greatly received , cheers

Hi i found this stuff , its from a company in the uk , im gonna get some and try it , what you guys think ? http://www.alwayshobbies.com/Tools-$4-Materials/Scenery/Deluxe-Materials-Scenic-Rust.ice it actualy uses iron filings and an accelerator to make the filings rust , cant get much more realistic rust than that can ya lol

Hiya , the sierra in the piccy i got from a guy on the XR owners club , he had built it but had hand painted the body, so i preped it, sprayed with white primer , then it all reacted , it spent three days in DOT 4 brake fluid , cleaned her up and started again , i still have another unbuilt XR4i kit waiting to be done properly from the start, that one ive had in the loft for years they do pop up on ebay every now and again though

  11. cheers for that , i have seen the head visor here in the uk , and i think i will go down that route , its cheaper than a magnifing lamp , anything to help my degrading eyesight, as ive only just started wearing glasses after 38 years of not lol, i do have the micro-scale sanding set from when i did it last time around and it is amazing , with that i got best paint at show when i enterd a '57 chevy , at a model comp during the NHRA meet , in Essex , i was well chuffed , i wish i had pics of it , but it was a few years ago

Hi guys , sorry but i have been on this forum a few weeks now , but i never actualy said hi , and how much i love the forum , its great to see everyones work and i have to say it gives me insparation to build all sorts , i havent built anything for about 4 years now and just got back into it , anyways hope to post pics of what i have made (albeit nowhere as good as you guys) and use this site to help me improve

  18. im working on , get this lol , a Tamiya Ford Sierra XR4i, which i bought of a guy and he had hand painted it , so out come the brake fluid to strip it ( fingers crossed ), a Tamiya Porsche 911 GT1, a Lindberg 1953 Ford, and the Tamiya U.S.S Enterprise for a mate of mine , and the fact im using the dinning room table, well it aint easy lol

  22. i was cutting out a battery cover on a kit because my nephew wanted it to work , but i had already glued it down , so as i had the chassis in my left hand and an xacto knife with the curved blade in my right hand , i exerted a small amount of force to cut through the glue and then , slip the blade left the chassis and entered my hand at the base of my thumb with a full stabbing motion , it only looked like a paper cut , but when i opend my hand fully it then opend up , i could see the bone , straight to A+E , id severd a nerve and sliced the artery , i now have a zoro scar on my left hand lol

Loving the volvo, ive just got hold of the Estate version , as my dad owns a real one and he wants me to build it for him , i got it off ebay for £30 which considering the cost of kits now days was not that bad , another guy on there has one on "Buyit Now" for £55 , now that is steep , anyways good luck on your search
