I sent you a pm Dan..need some help.great looking and nice work.it does help to have the real thing.do you have pictures of your real truck?...nice work dude. -
Monogram has alot of those kits with these problems.that I'm no worried about other then what hasbeen discussed..what are the inaccuracies of of this kit.I'm work on one now.body has been painted but nothing else.I'm not quite familiar with 1 to 1 70 RR's.I have already removed the exhaust from rearend and filling the top of rear axle.engine bay has alot to be desired. .but that is normal for Monogram.

Back in the day,I did what the rest of you did.I never saw two dollor kits, but I remember working for older ladies and men in the neighborhood , take what I earned,go to Grand Central buy a 2.99 car or 4.99 truck kit.go home, into my building room...basement and start it .one week later I was done..and loved it.I never thought of any mistakes I made back then..it was just a blast back then..it still is but can be difficult now.it was great back then.

I look at kits that high as the seller don't really want to sell it.I would pay much if it was the last kit ever.I look for what I want and for others looking for kits or parts..I have to do something in dialysis. Sometimes I see those kits that cost thst much and wonder, does it have a job? Does it run?..its funny to watch those kits..but ebay rules can be difficult to deal with.

Modeling things you hate/love
Nova-ss replied to chunkypeanutbutter's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I love scale modeling...there is nothing I hate....that is abit strong.there are thing I don't care so much for.. things I like and love. 1.opening and getting new kits or rebuilds and parts. 2 . scratch building anything. 3.building,engine,frame,suspension, interior and stance and any mods. 4.painting..but can be abit nerve wracking to..but still fun. 5.assembling of sub assembly's things that can and I don't look forward to 1.decals,decals....lord..decals. 2.colors sanding the finsh. 3.wet sanding the clear coat. 4 . finishing a build. 5 . putting finish touch's. this is my list -
'70 Chevelle kit - Revell vs. AMT
Nova-ss replied to atomicholiday's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
So does any one have snapper rewiew.like parts, chassis plate.is the rearend, front separate. Do they look the part.snap kits don't bother me.I just wsnt to know and see pictures.thank you all. -
I remember in a car mag I have were there is pictures of the wonder..I thought wagon, but as stated earlier in a post ...wonder pony.it was a funny car painted like a old wonder bread package.I remember that as a kid.I no longer have it.I have MPC 75 car.it has a few pieces missing to it and a MPC 78 pinto wagon and MPC 74 vega...is complete. And another prome style vega..just a grocery getter. Its funny how different they all are.the pinto's have separate parts in the chassis plate but the vega had the rearend and spring as part of the chassis plate...I don't like that part.I sure wished they would reissue the old AMT,MPC vega"s and pinto's modtly the early years.I need to find a 4 banger engine for my pinto and firewall and mirrors. ...don't know where to look other then ebay..I find whole kits...I just need parts.I'm not a believer of parting out complete rare old kits.just to complete mine.keep complete kits ....whole.

Road Runner - Missing in Action
Nova-ss replied to fseva's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
It would be great to see a new tooling for the 70 RR kit.it to me looks a bit bigger then it should be.but ifwe want a new toolingfor the 70 RR thenwe need to start with Revell or Round2 or Moebius. They are the ones that would do it. -
Whats the weirdest kit in your stash?
Nova-ss replied to mustang1989's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
WOW. ..I have nothing like the kits shown here.but if they would have made models of modrls then scale modeling wouldn't have a difficult time staying business. ..but we all wouldn't be building airplanes, cares ,ships, trucks and motorcycles and our wifes would be mad at us...this thread has been funny to read. -
I build trucks, that includes pickups and commercial all classes.along with all cars, some bikes and trailer, copters and planes.I build alot of subjects.I happy we have a trucks here.I don't want that changed.the title of this mag iand forum to me is just fine...to me.

Nova-ss replied to dieseldawg142's topic in Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Hiya Dan, great work on your trucks and car.but have to say..I love the look and all the details on your pickups.I'm working on a Chev C3500 about 90's I've done the same type of thing as you.I combining the snap with the glue kits and making cross members for the frame.its a blast.where did you get a engine from? And trans, transfer case and front and rear axles.mine is a c not a k model.and stock type dualles.and tires.where did you get parts from? Thank you,Chris -
I never built models using all parts and or decals.the 1 model I ever built was when I was 4 and my friend and I taped it together. No paint..but fell in love with modeling.but never used all parts.always tried to built what I saw, instead of what was in my imagination. It is hard to rebuild these models, but its fun.there hard to find, the old AMT,Revell,MPC and Monogram kits from back in 50's thru 70's. ...love it thru.I like fixing these cars with everthing glued to it,funky paint and way, way, way to much glue.
