  1. Nice work on that trans. I like the texture look you do. Gonna have to try it sometime.
  2. Thanks guys Jonathan, you have another shot at getting the wide body ki as they have restocked them. Jason, they are made by factory81/Thomas garage. They are on Facebook. Look up factory81 or Thomas Wong if you wish to purchase it. It fits quit good after some cleaning up. It also comes with a lot of goodies.
  3. It's been a while for me to read one of your stories. Great reading as always. The caddy looks sweet. I dig the color
  4. Well I started this last week. It was a few cold nights so I had to stop on the century for painting. I'll be getting back on the century as it seems we might have a nice weekend for painting. This is the tamiya kit with Factory81 wide body kit designed by Kei Miura of TRA-Kyoto. It's part of his Rocket Bunny line. I like the design of the body kit as it flows with the body lines really nice. Here it is with the rear mocked up. The black markings is where the body needs to be cut to fit the wider arches. Here I had the arces glued in place. The front bumper wasnt aligned correctly in this pic. Here I aligned the bumper and glued the flares on the other side. The rear diffuser. You can see how wide it is now. I added some putty to the lower part of the bumper. Heres the putty sanded down and a peek at what's to come in the engine bay. It's gonna be a tight squeeeeeez... Why twin turbo?? Well back like 10 years ago i watched an old tuner video from Japan that had an ae86 corolla with a twin turbo 1600, so I figured I'd pay some homage to that 86. This is where I'm at so far. I have to hit up tamiya for a new chassis as the one I have is warped. A first for me with a tamiya kit.

Came out great man. Between this one and the tamiya, which did you like most as far as fitment goes?
  6. Nice color. Did you have to use a base color befor shooting the pearl?
  7. Well I'm tuned in for this wild build.
  8. Looks good so far. An interesting color choice as well. Looking forward to some more.
  9. Awesome updates mark. Will be waiting for more
  10. Mechanically speaking the rear would need to either have IRS=independent rear suspension or if a FWD with tube axle rear then there would be plates to move the hub with negative camber. A live axle rear should not have negative camber. I'm sure our buddy here has some trick up his sleeve for the rear....
  11. Im still amazed at all the work done. It hasn't even been puttied or sanded and it already looks fantastic. Keep up the good updates.
  12. Looks good Robert. The color choice will make it stand out on the streets for sure.
  13. Nice color. Tuned in for more man.
  14. Ooohh I asked and I received!
  15. Wow, came out fantastic. I have only seen a handful of them built. Yours it in the top 3 for sure.
  16. Thanks Jason, yeah they would have a solid axle and a 5 lug, but the kit came with an adjustable suspension and I don't have 5 lug wheels... let's just call it a custom install IRS and a hub adapter for the wheels...lols
  17. That's a sweet looking ride. Fantastic job on the details.
  18. Small update. Well the temps have not been friendly, nor are they going to be anytime soon. I painted and clear coated the body, but ended up with a matt paint job cause it was too cold. I tried to do a hot box method but did do it the right way. So I'll be wet sanding the bit of lint that ended up on it and trying out the hot box again. The right way this time. Just metallic black here. After gloss. It looks like matt black. Looked sweet when it was wet.
  19. Awesome updates. Those vents man, just too cool.
  20. Paint came out great, not the color intended but still great
  21. Ann yeah, I was thinking of getting the aoshima version. The interior looks great man. Very nice work.
  22. I dig it man. Got some good things going. 86 owner approved. Just some advice for them rear seats. This version doesn't have a "T" shape when you pull the seats down. It's just a square shape with a seam on the middle as they are a left and right side. If you want some great reference pics go to www.club4ag.com there's a section where people post their builds of their cars.
  23. Your BRZ looks great! I plan to get a BRZ kit soon. I already have a few 86 kits, one of which I plan to slap that rocket bunny kit. Keep it up man. Looking forward to seeing it done.
  24. I thought I saw this here. Like I said on the other forum, looks great and looking forward to it with some paint.
