that looks pretty sweet. ill be tuned in for this one.
-
not bad for a fast build. but yeah, the rear is the part i nit-pick too.
-
i didnt take a pic of like 2 or 3 parts trees. it comes with a fairly nice detailed interior bucket, roll cage, kind of a working suspenion, but no engine. luckily i have one that does come with an engine that ill be using. most of whats in the pics are what ill actually be using. the kit also comes with stock interior parts, like front seats ect. the only thing i don't like is the lack of N2 race parts. a fuel cell would have been nice, other than that. its an average kit from aoshima. heres the look im going for. there are no reference pics of the actual car, so ill be using magazines that i have of these cars as reference there is no logo of wheel company. so im using thes SSR MKIII's on slicks. although im not to fond of the front, so i might have to snag the wider 2 from another wheel kit i have. started on the header, using 1/16" solder. long runner(equal length) header. very popular way to extract HP from these little 1.6 4 bangers. tape was there to just hold them in place as the CA glue dried.

oooh mike, do i know that. i'ts very extreme, but meets the oni-kyan (demon camber) look. im bringing shakotan, oni-kyan and hippari with this build. what does all that mean, google for some images. <(for the curious mind) dave, for this one. i am going to try to show tire wear. it's gonna be tough to get it flat towards the middle, bit im gonna try.

nice stud, wish i could find something like that while cleaning my garage.. i like where this is going.
-
heres another project i have been working on for a long while. the kit is the revell tuner 510. i bought it roughly 10 years ago. i started on it, but didn't like how it was turning out. so it went into hibernation, now fast forward to feb 2010 and i start to fix what i had done 10 years ago. just a quick run down.
-
thank you just a couple of snaps of what ill be working on. box art and somewhere under there, is the body of the car.
-
thanks casey. well got a lit busy tonigt. and the result is this it's just about to turn over and say done! just a couple more details.
-
hello, im the fairly new guy around here. i would like to join in on the build. ill go in with a 1985 toyota corolla levin N2. ill post pics of it later tonight. thanks
-
hey, a small update. i almost have this done. just need to finish up the interior to get the body mounted. the chassis is now standing on its own wheels.
-
got some of the interior going. made a 4 point harness from an old hasegawa kit i had lying around. its a PITA to work with cause it has an adhesive backing on the harness material. also painted the muffler rubber black, it gives it that old school fujitsubo exhaust look. probably will paint the piping as well. i also added a little extra detail on the passenger seat, look closely and you see the adjuster knobs and the lever to move the seat forward for back seat passengers. thanks for looking.

looking good so far. keep up the good work on the therapy
-
thanks jimmy, its actually SMS cf. now i just got to find some good pics of the restored logo.
-
thanks juggs. just a small update on how it went with the smoke and clear.
-
haha, its alright jimmy. yeah, cant beat that price. i picked up some of the brown and the dark blue. they didnt have the white one though. heres a bit of an update. drivers seat, there is a passenger seat. just forgot about a pic.. decided to brush a coat of semi flat black to the wats. and now, the carbon hood. it's not done, i plan to shoot some smoke and then some clear as well. hope it goes good.
-
no prob, cars1206. jimmy, i forgot to hit up wheelman. gotta get on that. oh and thanks for the tip on the MS flocking. worked out great. take a look below and let me know what you think. combined both pewter and black to get the right look. well i have a 4 day weekend coming up, so ill be a bit busy on this. like i have been so far. got it re-coated with paint, flocked the interior, made a new exhaust, foiled the trim and where the lights will be going. well here are the pics. here i color sanded, rubbed and waxed. not perfect, but it's my first time trying it out. new exhaust interior flocking, now this is the best i have done. being that the last time i flocked an iterior was more than 10 years ago! some brake work for the front, not done yet. last thing i did, BMFed the trim

wow, this is way too cool. loved the slot cars as a kid. they were nothing like this or like the competetive ones. well you have a vid of it in action??
-
wheelman, ill have to take you on that invite. youll here from me tomorrow. 1chris, i like that action shot. pretty sweet celica doublejuggs, i used tamiya 2part epoxy putty. took some time to get them like that and honestly not 100% satisfied. cars1206, yes. it does come with left hand dash. do you want it? i have no use for it. thanks every one. i should have another update on thanksgiving weekend. 4 day weekend woo!

been i while since i posted an update. got a small one now and well, i shot the first coats of paint, it looked good. but noticed the front need some more. well i shouldve waited till i felt better cause this happened. other than that it looks good i think. sooo, i just need to sand some dust and stuff off, smooth it out a bit where the paint chipped off and well beats the hell out of me about the cracks. hell knows i am not gonna fix it...
