Top Gear (UK) is my favourite british car show. i've done a few models of the more interesting cars they've used on the show, the ones from their various challenges. Police Car Challenge Alfa Challenge Limo Challenge Eco Challenge Middle East Challenge
-
it's nicely executed with great details, but i've never have thought a 80's v6 to be very beefy (not like todays 6s)
-
nice car. did you paint the promo?

What NSX would that be?

1/16 street charger

i've also got this kit, but i'm not going to build it street. i was thinking maybe factory stock. -
2. Deathproof The girl's Mustang 'BrandX' aka 'Lil pussywagon' that they drive to pick up the challenger. this was a 71 AMT mustang and I added a roof from AMT 69 Cougar. the stripes were masked and painted. Wheels are from my parts box

2.Deathproof. honestly, if it didn't have the cars & chases, this would be a runner for "most boring movie" award. Mike's charger. made from a forlorne AMT Duke's charger. i painted it white, before black so when scratched it looked like it was damaged by the white challenger. The challenger is AMT's yankee challenge kit.

Quentin Tarantino, film director. most of his movies are pretty popular, he also considers himself a 'car guy'. 1. Kill Bill The PussyWagon was made from a Chevrolet C1500 street machine. Other than the mask painted flames and home-made decals, it's otherwise box stock.

That's a different movie, but i haven't got one yet. Here's the thread of my Mad Max movie: http://www.modelcars...showtopic=54631

This is the ute that the Goose borrows after crashing his bike, and getting killed by the toecutter's gang. This old ute (probably an EJ model) has a lot of character and is quite distinctive. I'm quite happy with this build. it's built entirely from my parts box, yes, even the body came out of it. i intended this to be a quick and dirty build but it ended up being a highly detailed replica. The body has been hanging around my model bench for years. it's a PETG (vac-formed) slot car EH Holden wagon. i cut the back off it and stuck the rear window to the back of the cab. that's not correct, but should have been a wrap around style but this works well enough. The chassis is an old weathered MPC mopar piece and the engine is an unknown six, probably a revell hot rod. The bed is made from flat styrene and the wheels are resin copies of a GY polyglas with steelie rims. This was a blast to make, which took about 3 weeks.

Mad Max (1979) is a low budget australian action movie. it follows the story of Max, a police (MFP) officer who looses everything, including himself. This is my Planetx Ford Falcon sedan in MFP livery. i changed the rims for more accurate sunraysia rims from the revell Bronco kit it's currently undergoing a few mods to improve it's look Max's Pursuit Special - Ford Falcon XB Coupe from Cavalier models Here is my complete nite rider (Holden Monaro HQ 1971). it's built from a resin body i bought on ebay, and it's a fairly accurate representation, if a bit thick. i added interior and chassis from a revell 67 chevelle, which has the suspension modified to give better height (still needs some work for the right stance). Some of the bits i've added include spoilers, dash light and hood scoop.
-
Forget the planetx falcons. they are nowhere near accurate, nor detailed. both of which i expected from a 120 dollar kit. your mustang is going nicely. i've seen some done in black, but never as the MFP interceptor (mostly because it's supposed to be a four door sedan). i did my eleanor from this kit, using stock parts from the revell 69 mustang. i did this because i needed racing parts for the 69 and stock for the 73, so i swapped them.

KLF is a british band that released the number one song 'Doctoring the Tardis' http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doctorin%27_the_Tardis I like this song, but even more, i like Cauty's 68 Ford Custom (Galaxy), featured on the cover of the song and in the video clip (and also a heap of other KLF songs). Obviously inspired by the Bluesmobile, it's in poor condition (with rust coming through the rear quarters) and he doesn't mind using it to run down one of their Daleks. This model the closest i could get is AMT's 70 Ford police car. apart from slight year model differences, it's pretty much identical. I also made one of the crude Daleks in the video clip

The bluesmobile. the amazing unstoppable ex-police car from Blues Brothers movie. This model was made from a resin body from Moparman Jim (from the confederate general lee forum), on a Goon car interior/chassis and wheels from the spares box. The chassis interior was originally used for a bluesmobile i built some time ago. but it was a 77, not the correct 74 shown here so it was already detailed as required. After painted, i used decals from Pattos Place and then weathered the whole lot.

This is the vehicle commandeered by the protagonists when their SWAT truck tips over. it's a monogram kit and is basically box stock. doing decals was hard because i needed both black and white text for each side. i also have the bumper sticker on the rear 'Praise the Lord' i sent my artwork to Pattos place and he printed it for me. You can buy it off him if you want it. Find it under "Chv S-10 Pickup - Trminator 2". at some stage i will probably build the crappy shed on the back of it
-
it looks pretty right on the money

The figure is Adam kit from Prieser.

(yeah, scale auto, partsbox, finescale, ozbuilders... i get around a bit (spread the love).

i've been meaning to do some corrections on my own elvira macbremobile, as the revell decals for the seats is tan and black, instead of white and black as Psychographic has done. oh, you just need to plate to finish it off. (if i remember correctly, it's california "KICKASS").

i saw a diorama on scale auto some years ago was a christine car being crushed by the dozer. he'd posed the AMT catapillar (with added cabin) on top of a crushed AMT belvedere, making the damage areas from foil.

it really has a lived in charm. lots to keep the eye busy!
