  1. sweet. quite a nicely done white. just don't bump it off the balcony!
  2. Top Job!! the roof reminds me of a roll and tuck for some reason.
  3. nice black paint job. makes it look like a baby knight rider. pinstriping with pinstriping, good idea.
  4. after cutting the top half of the center piece out of the grille, i heated it and bent it down. i then heated the hood and bent it down to match.
  5. That's quite a convincing patina and i like the touches like the sagging roof liner and hanging out side marker.
  6. that's a sweet color and the pegasus rims suit it perfectly.
  7. Wheels of Terror (1990) was a made for TV thriller about a mysterious black car that goes around a small rural town killing people. The mysterious black car is a 1971 Dodge Charger, with the front squashed down to look like a frowny face, and is always dirty. The model is amt 71 charger kit with the front modified. i cut out the center bar and heat bended it down, and the hood was heat treated as well. the 'dust' was done with a spray can of vinyl brown. i had to modify the front suspension to correct the wheel centering issue. I sold the model in 2009 to a collector/fan of the movie in the USA. no, really...
  8. This is the Holden Commodore VL in race livery from Holden Racing Team as driven by Neil Crompton in 1989 The decals are by Pattos place and the body is a resin Jaymar body (made of fibreglass), sits on a shortened impala chassis, as this comes with a v8, unlike the 'suggested' donor kit, (a nissan R-32) this actually looks good and fits well. If you can put up with the pain of building a fibre-resin kit, this one is worth the effort if you're a holden fan. here's some of the construction phase scratchbuilt interior original is pictured here
  9. very well done. i thought it was a 1:1 bug which is what we aim for.
  10. say, that's a nice bike! well done chopper, was it box stock or did you add any details to it?
  11. interesting project. i've wanted to do this one since seeing on on the internet (very well done imo). Looks like you've got it all in hand. i did the bullets with two drill bits. a small drill for the hole and a large bit to do the 'impact damage'
  12. another source would be finescale modeler forum as to your question about scale drawings, i didn't find any, but there were plenty of references by going to Google and search for M1919 .30 cal and then click "Image" in the LH sidebar. there were plenty of side-on photos and a few exploded view drawings that may be useful. i'd imagine there's probably plenty of machine guns in various armor kits. You just need an armour modeler to tell you which one.
  13. nice details there, should make the engine look good. 84 was my preferred version, which DeeDee drove before getting her 87 turbo.
  14. neat. it's a nice tribute. i quite like this gen camaro too.
  15. i'm sure hwy patrol would love to have these. looks like a jet fighter in those colours.
  16. holy smokes, that's a hell of a transformation
  17. it's a nicely built rod that really looks the biz
  18. i like crown vic police vehicles, and a lot of attention to detail really makes it pop.
  19. oh and of course, the star of the movie
  20. ** GAL Challenger ** This is the challenger that gets stolen not once, but twice in the movie, with it being towed during a car chase. They steal the car and also buy an identical vehicle, which they switch identities. when they get found out, so they steal it again to hide the evidence. it ends up being crushed and shredded. I saw this first in the 'remake' Deadline Auto Theft. (if you haven't seen it, it's the same movie, but he redid the acting parts to make a better storyline). for the movie, hallicki bought a 1970 challenger and updated it to look like a 1974 year version. he did this to save money, but there are clues like the 1970 side marker lights instead of 74 style. this actually worked in my favour, because i built the model also from a 1970 and changed the front and rear to 74. i started by adding a full side trim and vinyl roof. the rear is scratchbuilt, and the front is a modelhaus two piece resin item. the wheels are the kit's mopar rims, but i changed them to spoke style by adding some lowrider rims as hubcaps. i put HT leads on the engine. chassis was weathered a little to make it look like a few years old daily driver. added license plates '000-GAL' by printing it on photopaper.
  21. This is my charger from Speed Trap (1977). In the movie, this car belongs to the protagonist, who's a hot shot private investigator that the police bring in to help catch a clever car thief. He's not above requesitioning people's cars when his breaks down. The model is AMT 71 charger. Apart from the interesting paint scheme, it's box stock. 22. This is the 75 Ford Falcon XB from Cavalier (ADR) models. it's a 1/25 scale resin kit. I had to fill two bubble holes. It was painted with Export Gloss Yellow and satin black. it's curbside, so no engine. chassis is flat promo style.
  23. This is the van from the second scooby movie (Monsters Unleashed - 2004). It's an A-Team kit with a custom front (i cut up and puttied the chevy front) and recessed the number plate. It was a pain to mask and paint the four colour scheme. there are lots of spots where the masks or paint gave me trouble. at least they dropped the frangipani from the design.
  24. nice job. what did your friend think of the final result?
  25. nicest 69 shelby model i've seen, honestly. very nice out of box build.
