  1. i know what you mean. i never noticed it until i posted the photo. some details, it's the revell 79 kit. i added the fuel line to the chassis and separated the exhaust from the axle. I added pins to replicate the inner door locks. The kit has has the front guards flared out. rather than cutting them off, i heated them and bent them back straight. I lost one of the front parker lights to the carpet monster. Last things was painting the rims black and adding nevada license plates.
  2. Stargate Atlantis is a sci-fi action series spinoff from Stargate SG1. Normally they are based in a galaxy far, far away, but the final season saw an episode on Earth with Shepard driving around in this Camaro. it's a good excuse to build the camaro i had in my stash.it's basically box stock, and the hood won't sit closed properly. I spray painted it dark red and then a coat of dullcote. The interior was painted in two-tone light brown with pins added to replicate the door locks. the engine was painted orange, but i did the inlet manifold in blue to replicate the 'bitza' look of the original. I swapped out the rims from the spares that were closer to those used. chassis, interior, engine shots.
  3. i guess you think video is the 'way of the future', but i'd suggest you also use pictures. some people can't watch youtube at work (we monitor usage of that site here) and also it's like watching an earthquake happening....
  4. hmm, not sure the best way around the flocking. perhaps wash it off and just dull-cote the red paint?
  5. different shades makes it pop, so definately worthwhile doing
  6. nice work on the corvette, you might want to add air valves to the rims for that added touch. I asked an auto shop about the touch up paints, and they said they just get them mixed up if they need them, so touch up paints are going the way of the dodo.
  7. Looks like it's built for speed. interesting color.
  8. wow, i just scrapped my folger's mustang. i'm using it's chassis to built a different car. i built this 25 years ago. i had to leave off the air filter to get mine to fit down properly.
  9. nicely done kit, that color screams! the toolbox would have come with that kit. chevy engine? meh, i put a plymouth straight six in mine!
  10. That's so fifties! nice paint job too
  11. purring like a kitty in the cat-shop
  12. Looks like a fun project, best of luck with it
  13. even though you've not added any detail, you've done well with what is there. you color choices on some fo the detail parts is spot on.
  14. If you want to model tv or movie cars, remember this site: www.imcdb.org The internet movie car database is a good resource, especially if you're not sure what year/model car they used in any particular show. thats where Scale-Master got that pic of the crashed camaro
  15. In Diecast circles these are categorized as a 'Code 3' (whatever that means). Some guys can do amazing paint/decal work.
  16. i like the guy hiding in the background, makes the scene tell a story. well done. weathering the vehicle will blend it to the scene, so shoudl only make it better.
  17. i think he means DOLL HOUSE SECTION. which is a very good tip. 1/2 scale doll houses are 1/22.5 scale (G scale), very close to 1/25.
  18. it looks great as the weathering makes it so realistic. i've often thought those packing rails could be used for something. the only thing i don't like it the out of scale leaf litter on the sides, it looks like bits of plush carpet. it stops the 'old wrecks' from looking like they've been there for a long time. i'd replace it with concrete or bare dirt with some odd bits of long grass.
  19. Man, someone should paint one with a turtle scheme!!!

    350z

That's a lushous paint job on your tree-fiddy.
  21. it's a nicely built and painted model. i like they way you've built up and detailed the engine, very nice. it's not like it's a REAL chevy anyway
  22. night time photos should be saved for models with working lights. which look good in the dark. i can barely see your chevelle (black car in the black).
  23. that looks, um, tasty
  24. interesting color combination. how did you find the kit to build?
  25. looks pretty nice. looks like you've lowered it for a better stance. did you add any extra detail (i know this kit is screaming out for more detail). looks like you could polish out some of the paint more.
