  1. nice build. i like the recessed rear lights.
  2. That looks comfy. would be good for long trips.
  3. i've never heard of them before. site is a bit cludgey, more like a manufacturer list than a webshop. of course, they are still in the early 1970s as far as ordering (eg none of them are secure). sure it's a big job, but there have been offers to help him for free on this and other model forums. Southpier, There are people with photobuckets full of photos of Modelhaus product that you need to find. check this one out for a good start http://public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc/1/2/1/after-market-source/modelhaus/
  4. Yes, and denying a large chunk of american history too. the gen lee without the flag is like a Road Runner without the Warner Bros bird logo on it's tail. i'm australian, and we have a lot more 'dark' history, yet to deny the sins of the past is to allow them to happen in the future.
  5. i like to think of my builds as a collection. if i did a train layout, i'd want everything to be the same HO scale. by the same reasoning i want all my cars in the same scale. i don't mind the 24/25 difference, but i'm not interested in 1/32 or 1/20 scales that some model cars come in. it's really hard too, because i build cars based on subject and so many are just not available in 1/25.
  6. good choice for a build. here's the car imcdb http://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_25096-Oldsmobile-Cutlass-Supreme-1971.html
  7. interesting conversion so far... Really? dang, better sell my resin body transkit before it comes out.
  8. Nice job. you need to do a Dodge Diplomat Toronto as well. (hint get the diecast 1/24 to redo). it's funny they used to be yellow. i wonder how many new yorkers jumped in the back and said "take me to the airport", thinking it was a taxi!!
  9. General Lee = 69 Charger. everything else is just imitation vanilla... now a full detailed 69 charger lee would be something to behold.
  10. looks very ambitious. can't wait to see more
  11. wow, it didn't look much until the rust took hold and it came out looking quite realistic. well done!
  12. Looks good so far. interesting idea to change the front clip, that's using your noodle. I prefer the 'Soft Cell' version.
  13. Looks good. i've got one of these in my stash as well as a four-door to do. (in case you didn't know, Ford imported these to Australia until it was discontinued in the States but continued on here.) Lucky it had the correct vents molded correctly in the front panels.
  14. wow, this has been an impressive build to watch (just went through all 7 pages). kudos for having the balls to undertake such a big project.
  15. Until the ANTS find it. Better to use salt.
  16. and it says on his advert he will offer refunds to keep his customers happy. He says it's all there, and at 120 i guess you expected a complete kit, but how much was actually missing?
  17. nice charger, good colour choice. that table top makes a good 'floating on water' look to your photos.
  18. That's one wild Trabi!!
  19. yeah, they are kinda funky, maybe switching left and right rear arches, so they sweep forward, would look better?
  20. Fabulous pair of factory 80s machines. for the tail lights, i'd just fill the hole with clear red styrene and be done with it. Dont' nascar still use pushrods and carburetors?
  21. Life's a Beach. fabulous manx you've done.
  22. looks slick! please take some photos outside, i'm sure that paint will pop.
  23. Nice XR. those centerlines and fat rubber look the biz! nice colour too!
  24. What is the correct block color for a '70 Olds 442 w30? I thought all olds in that period were gold, but few pictures i've found it looks to be light blue. This one looks like a metallic blue like pontiac...
