  1. so how hard to add the tamiya engine to the aoshima kit?
  2. nice job. diecast have such better selection of subjects, crying out to be modified. top marks for this.
  3. nice cars, good use of very little space. figures look good. its overall very good but everything looks very sterile. it lacks a 'lived in' feel.

some neato weathering and rust. i like the colours and layout as it reminds me of Planet Terror movie. you really need a better camera. some of the clothes look a bit too shiny.
  5. i've got an 8 gig sized folder of car pictures. i'm a bit of a internet junkie. for saving images, firefox is much better, as you can generally get around most anti saving measures you'll encounter on some websites (eg flickr)
  6. a lot of people say they want Rear Wheel Drive, but the car companies keep saying there's no market for RWD. Who's right?
  7. This is a Holden HQ custom step side from the movie 'The Chain Reaction' (1980). It's built from a Holden HQ sedan resin body that i cut in half and the stepside tray is from the Ford Courier kit. The holden is 1/24 and the courier 1/25, so there is a size difference, so i widened the tray 2mm. the rest of the car came from the spares box. The paintwork was the hardest part, masking five colours. Finally finished, apart from the rear step bumper, which i seem to have misplaced.
  8. Nice work. the laguna front looks a bit funny. pity no one makes a 74 Elky or even a 74 chevelle for us to steal the front. came out better than mine (kitbashed same kit)
  9. one of the better renditions of this kit i've seen. tinting is a good idea, even if not 100%. it's a product that is lacking in scale models. is it true that Pajero means "male organ" in spanish?
  10. This is made from a Chevrolet C1500 street machine. Other than the mask painted flames and home-made decals, it's box stock. i haven't added the roof lights or other minor details. i did this three years ago
  11. i found the decals in this kit are too thick and it's hard to get them to settle down. Keep in mind you have to cut them out around the rear wheel, if memory is correct. Other than that, it's a fun build that makes a nice model when done. The orange supra is a nice kit to pick up too
  12. This was the kit that convinced me to stick to 1/25 scale. these oddball scales are just annoying. Be interesting to see how it comes out. if my memory is correct, it's identical to the 1/24 corvette, only bigger (no more detail)
  13. That's a real sleeper. did you loose the rear wing or not cover the holes for a reason?
  14. i like it. how'd you do in the show?
  15. excellent looking Duster. it's a beaut maybe YOUR earthly bound cars. mine are all running on magic (and pixie dust)
  16. very tasty. i like the detail and paint is excellent. i see you lightly weathered the underside too.
  17. as a kid, i preferred mpc over revell as they had metal axles and were 'tougher' than the fragile revell suspensions. as a mature modeller, i prefer the detail and realism of revell's kits. i guess that's how priorities change.
  18. given it could be boxed as the blues brother's car, i don't know why they've never done one of these.
  19. i'm surprised you have that blue impala on such a low shelf where he could reach it. he might decide one day to help you "rebuild" it.
  20. you can always rust up the twisted chassis. be good for a diorama. i'm interested to see how the alcad brass looks.
  21. i would like to see a rommels rod with chrome wheels too (and gloss black paintjob). i'd call it "Fast and the Führer"
  22. it looks good and i quite like the weathering. it's lifting a wheel in the second picture.
  23. i'm sure this is the weirdest subject ever done by a model making company. I'm sure with a bit of scratchbuilding and kitbashing you could make an interesting helicopter out of it.
  24. Make a boat out of it!! For designing like Dave, i'd suggest a few puffs of something first. I'm sure he did.
  25. Are you correcting the rear cockpit wall and under dash area? The rear wall bends at waist level to include the rear windows. this is the movie prop being built.... the under dash area isn't wrong, just cludgey. Oh, and that's an amazing amount of lights. will look impressive in the dark.
