Yes I will be using the 440 magnum since I am building it stock. Yes they did go over board with the flakes, but I think that the paint really does look good on it, so I will keep it. Thanks for he Suggestion with the Clear, I will definitely us it on this build. Yeah the 1970 Charger Special Edition! that would be awesome .

I have just looked at his postings again, it seem's that some complaining as paid off alittle, as now I see that he has posted a new video in which the title reads "Scale Model Cars i did not build". Can we actually see this as a form of progress? -

Oh yeah that is one hot Model . -
I see all they have done is give it a '69 looking rear end, it's still a four door, and I still don't consider it a real Charger, that is until they come out with a coupe version. This is just my opinion.

This looks very interesting, I will be watching this one.

Okay I now see what you are talking about with the door panels, actually that was a kind of misstake, I did not have enough spray paint to complete them, so all of that is what is left from a little bit of spraying, and not created by a brush. Sorry about that.

Hey it's okay, I have made a few mistakes out here myself... , And thanks for the compliment. It was my first time with BMF . I painted the trim on the door panels. I have a brush set that I got from Hobby Lobby, that varies in size but all of them have a tip, So I paint all of my small stuff with about one or two bristles this also takes allot of focus and concentration. Thanks again.

Newest issue of SCR magazine-not likely!
davyou5 replied to LUKE'57's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
It's really sad when your favorite magazine, or comic or even news paper, has to resort to changing like this, but mostly its to try and draw in other readers. Or such a change is due to economic circumstances, one never really knows why they like to change things for the worse. I have had to drop my own favorite Mags, and Comics ether because the Stories are not very good, Or they want to change their theme, Lets look at UFO magazine for a good example, instead of keeping up on UFO stories and Photo Shots, they now want to report more on who's who in the Celebraty world . Ah, I am sorry to see your favorite mag decline like this. -
I had a dream last night

If it is something that you have really wanted, then yes it could happen or you will see it on the shelfs in time. Dreams have a funny way of telling us things . -

Hello all , After some what of a failure with the '69 Nova SS, well more like a need to slow down abit as I was building it pretty fast, I am now on my next kit which is the Revell 2 n 1 '68 Charger R/T, and I had to wait for this kit, as it was not at the Hobby Lobby one day that I went there, and then suddenly there was one on the Shelf last week and I had to get it! So yes folks another Charger is on the loose here on this forum . I have gotten with it, Testor's Flame Black, and White Primer, I am debating whether or not to go ahead and buy Chysler's Engine Blue to paint the engine or if I should just go with a Gloss Orange that I have. And what color red to make the interior. Okay so I started this project two days ago, I sanded off the mold lines and some flash that I have seen on the body, I washed the parts with dish soap, let it dry, then I primered it and some other parts and that all of that sit for 24 hours. Today I spray painted the body with Testor's Flame Black and stuck it in the oven about 95 degrees for about 5 minutes, and then hand painted some of the parts. Pictures to come soon, as I am allowing the paint to cure 24 hours. This photo here is the inspiration of what I an going to do, the only trouble is that the Decals Superbee Stripe is in two colors Red and Black, So I have to do some sort of a red theme to the car. This is the inspiration I am using for my model, difference here is that the Charger in the picture as a vinyl top, and if I recall correctly the '68's were Hard top, and maybe with a Vinyl Option? Anyway I am using this a model to strive for. I went out searching for a really good and maybe unique Black paint that would closely match the one here, and I saw Testor's Flame Black on the Hobby Lobby website, and bought it at the store. Though the impression of this paint is not what I have expected it to be, this is why I think Hobby Lobby should show pictures of the color on their site. Okay, I just decided to melt down and take a few quick shots of the paint job, Tell me what you think of testor's Flame Black on this body, I think that it looks good, but has too much Sprinkles in it. I think that I have had a really good painting day, because no orange peel showed up with this paint job, using what I have learned from the many posters here, and from the "Back to the Basic's" topic, I Slow painted the body, Let it dry for 20 mins, instead of the 10 mins, that I would have normally given it, and the paint turned out great! I am really glad that I have taken this slow. I ordered some BMF, Chrome this time and when it comes in I will put it on. And this project here I am taking my time with. Later I will post the pictures of the parts I am painting on the Sprue. Thanks for looking .

Gosh, I can't tell you how many times I have done that! and every time I would fear that the models resin would shrink or become too soft, or even just burn away, If I made a paint mistake or some orange peel got onto it, I would just dip it into the Paint thinner and srub the paint off lightly with a paper towel. So I feel your pain there .
