  1. I almost forgot that I asked this question. I have ordered some Black Chrome along with some other things, when It comes in and I try it on my model, I will let you know how it works. Thanks guys for all your Input.
  2. Many of the comments here are right, BMF (Bare Metal Foil) works wonders, but if you do not have any on hand or can not afford to get any at the moment. Then what I suggest is getting Paint Brushes with tips, then practice on something anything that you can paint on, For example take one brush or another, put some paint on it, and then try some of these brush strokes. Light: put the tip of the brush on an object as lightly as you can, and try to make a straight line with the edge of your brush. The less pressure on the brush the better. Brushes edge: This is something that I have learned in a job painting homes, door edges etc, though the Brushes were much bigger, put some paint on the tip of a brush that has a ... I am thinking 45 degree angle, and angle the brush so the bristles are as straight as you can get them along an edge. Then brush along the edge of that object. If you have to, start on the outside of the edge of your object then move the paint down toward the edge them follow the stroke down as straight as you can. Allow the Bristles to bend in the opposite direction were you are painting straight. My hands shake pretty good too, so some times I have to hold one hand with the other, also the angle of the object in which you are painting also makes the difference, and make sure you have plenty of lighting to see the line in which you are going to paint along and what angle the bristles are at, or with a tipped brush were the one little bristle is going to touch. The Light brushing techinque really helps with small wires on the Firewall and such things though you do not always have to touch lightly with the tip of the brush, some times I can use the paint left on the brush if it is in the middle of it, but in this case you have tilt the brush as straight as possible. Even if your hands shake you can still use that to your advantage as well especially painting the small things that you do not want to go over an edge, just allow it to shake ( But not roughly) and dot paint on then see how much you have covered. Hold one hand with the other if you have to, to reduce the shaking alittle. The best thing to do here if you decide to continue painting Window Seals, and other small details, is to practice what I have told you here, The brush edge and light touching most importantly, and as you progress you will be get better at it. This also takes great concentration and focus, I hope this Helps you, Remember to Practice .

  10. Hello all, I have been working on this Project as a distraction for my '49 Mercury as I am awaiting the Parts for it, So on the bench now is the 1:25 Scale Revell Street Burner '69 Camaro SS Baldwin Motion, Over all not such a bad build. I did have somewhat of a hard time with building the Engine which I have for now intentionally left out of the build, When I get more funds and the Tools, I am going to try my hand at wiring the Spark Plugs and I think that this is the car to do it to. Model: '69 Camaro SS Paint/Color; Master Modeler's Metallic Black Status: Half Finished. Thoughts/Notes: As I stated over all this is not a bad build, minor warpage, I have had some trouble piecing the Engine together, and the Decals were hell to put on which is why I decided to place the Strip Decals the way I did. I call it being creative though on the Hood decal I have had to cut a slit in the front of it to help in making it straight. I have no BMF so I have hand painted the Window Seals, Head lights, Rear Tail light detail, I still have yet to place the rear fender on, and just do some minor touch ups. Other than that I think this is one of the best models that I have done, and all thanks to the help of this community. Thanks Guys ! Pictures: Yeahhhhh..... every one Loves the pic's. Starting with Interior separted. Okay now for the Exterior Pics . That's all for now, when I update the Pic's this thing will be finished, and I will post it on the "Under The Glass" forum. thanks for looking .
  11. Hi, Thanks for the Comment. But I have not forgotten the Scoop, I am right now in the Process of making the Scoop, I am also awaiting more custom parts to come in , I was just showing what I have done currently. It's almost complete, and I will be showing the rest of it on the " Under The Glass" topic. Thanks.
  12. Hey there, Yes Welcome here, this modeling forum is for all, around the world, and you will never find a more friendly place , though I could be wrong about that .
  13. I have never really known for sure if there is a home size Mill or Lathe, but as I did work as a machinist, I can tell you that I have worked with some heavy duty Mills ( very old machines from the 1950's) and 1970's Lathes. What I will suggest to you is to search around, and if you do find the machines you are looking for, Please take all Safety Precautions, I have seen accidents happen that would blow your mind . Take safety Seriously!
  14. An Excellent build. You are making the Chevy fans very happy .
  15. I tried it! It worked, though not absolutely perfect but it did work. I will be posting what I have done in the " Under The Glass" forum when I am finished with this project.
  16. Whaooo hooooo hold the horses on the Stang, I want to get my hands on the new '67 Chevelle SS, Yeah BaBY! .
  17. Great work I have seen here so far. I am working on a Street Burner '69 Camaro L-72 Baldwin Motion Behind it is my Cobra costume '49 Mercury that I am still in the process of working on I am waiting for the parts. I have painted the Camaro Metallic Black, and painted the Window seals, Windshield Wipers, Door handles and Locks. I have also half put together the Engine, and the Interior. And I am doing all of this at random, not exactly following the instructions steps on what to put together first .
  18. Hey I am liking this more and more keep it up !, Tell me is that Radiator hose a detailed part that you bought somewhere? Thanks.
  19. For starters its really great that you are back in the hobby. So Welcome Back! When I read your first statement about buying a car from Goodwill, I thought to myself "He'll love it and want more" well to my surprise scrolling down all the replies here, you are buying yourself another model, I knew you could not resist the urge , you know why? because I couldn't! . I also want to get AMT's 1964 Mercury Marauder, so let me know how well that kit has treated you when you finish building it. Any way I think that this model will turn out great! I can't wait to see if finish. Keep it Roll'in .
  20. The 1943/44 Green Hornets Black beauty, which was a customized 1937 Lincoln Zephyr. though if I find the 1:18 scale model I am going to customize it to the Black Beauty .
  21. Alright this is a great start let's keep it Roll'in . Tell me what you want? What are you planing to get? Who knows maybe Santa will bring you everything that you want this year .
  22. Well even though it was not finished I thought that it was really cool! I want to try it one day when I get the proper tools to do it. Thanks for posting that and to the rest who posted here Thanks, it does give me an Idea of what to do and how to do it, and I did follow the link that was posted above and I found the Distirbutors with the options of many colors I think that I would like to start with red colored wire.
  23. I am looking to buy a 1:18 scale 1937 Lincoln Zephyr, I understand that these were limited in number about 2000 made or something like that, and I have found a few at extremely high prices. I am looking to customize it to look like The Green Hornets Black Beauty in the 1943/44 Film series. If you do not have it then maybe you can point me too one alittle cheaper. Thanks.
  24. I did like the design of the Porche 911, And the Lambo, but that's about it .
  25. Hello people, Since CaseyG83 started the " What did you get today" topic, I thought it would be fun to start a what do you plan to get topic . As for me I plan to get AMT's 1964 Mercury Marauder, Polars Lights The Green Hornets Black Beauty (1965 Chrysler Imperial), and 1968 Charger RT, 1985 Delorean (if I can find it), BatMobile kit (I've also seen the Batboat), I would also like to find the 1937 Lincoln Zephyr, So I can customize it to the 1943/44 Green Hornet's Black Beauty. Update Update, I just saw Revells fall catalog on the reviews section of the forum, Now I also want to get a '67 Chevelle SS! Yeah!
