    '71 Charger

I love that purple color! and from the other pictures I see a very clean and well built model! Excellent Job! .
  8. I went to Hobby Lobby one day only to find that the '68 Charger RT was not there, well I ended up going today and finding the One left on the Shelf so I took it! , of course I paid for it , I also got some Model Master paints and white primer.
  9. Oh yeah, if you place it where there is not so much light it does look black, I did paint this car Chevy's Flame Red at first, then I got one little orange peel, and well I tried to get rid of it then I ran out of the paint, and when I went back to Hobby Lobby, they were out of Flame Red, so I choose the Dark Cherry Pearl, I don't know, it just seemed fitting to me, anyway, I placed the body in the Safer Paint thinner which only got rid of a coat, then after it dried I sprayed on the Dark Cherry Pearl, well I got results that I did not expect , it really does look good in this color. I did compare the model with pictures of Nova's on the internet, so I tried to make it as realistic as possible, so yes I do agree that the front end does sit higher than those 1:1's that I have seen online. Yes I am enjoying as much of building this car as I can, I have only had some minor frustrations with it, but over all I think it will be worth the build. Thanks.
  10. I hope to meet as many good people out there in a show as much as I have here on this site .

  17. Okay it's time to view and make and objective ruling over the paint job. All are welcome to comment, and give advice. Oh, and you can follow this build on the " David's '69 Chevy Nova Stock" topic in On the Work Bench. these are some of the best shots I could get with the camera sitting on the table. So those with a good eye for detail, let me know what you think about the Spray paint job? Is it good enough for a contest? or do I need improvement?
  18. Thanks for the Comment, Yeah this kitten has been known to walk away with my Little Testors Paint bottles, the Sanding Sponge, Parts of all sizes and Paint Brushes , So I let her sleep in the empty box so she would leave the other stuff alone . When I posted the picture and had a look at the Preview I saw were it missed and immediately corrected the problem , thanks, Eagle Eye man .

    Fuelie '57

Yes now that I am thinking about it, 1957 was Chevy's first year for fuel injection, and fuel injection was an option until the early Sixties.

I love it! . You said that you used Testors paints but I am still wondering the Name of the Red you used on that Body. Extraordinary job! The Chevy fans are shouting for this one.

  23. Hello all! On the bench this week is the 2 n1 '69 Chevy Nova, I am building it stock. Here is what I have accomplished so far. Model: Revell 2 n1 '69 Chevy Nova. Paint/Color: Dark Cherry Pearl. Status: Incomplete. My Box Companion. Hey I had to sneak in a shot while she was still sleeping in the box, I could not resist! Engine Shot 1. That's it for now I will post more later. Update: I had to take out the original First shot of the engine since the glue on the header did not stick to the manifold hole, I got that problem fixed immediately after I have seen it. I will post more pic's later.
