  1. The lincoln would be a cool motor! Jody
  2. yea, me thinks thats too big! LOL. Jody
  3. That certainly would be different! We are also getting the willys in the picture for the chassis etc. I have some spare parts from a willys here. I know I have one of those engines. Also have a older style Hemi. A ford, and a cheby or two. So that playing field is wide open! Whats that diesel look like? it certainly would make it different! Being a panel, if someone wanted to do the work, one could also make it a rear engine set up maybe?Would have to be a v drive set up. Jody
  4. Yes, same idea. My favorite is paint also! LOL. We can figure these out once we have a list of all who wants in and what we are best at and want to do the most! Jody
  5. Mail order express my friend. We ship it to each other. every person does something to the model wether its painting it or building the chassis or building the motor or building the interior, final assebly, detail what have you. Thanks. Jody
  6. One quick tip in here. While bending, it is a good idea I found to put a soft pliable wire like solder or the likes inside the aluminum tubing to help make sure it does not kink on you. Again, it has to be a soft pliable wire so once the aluminum tubing is bent, you can still get the wire out. Thanks. Jody
  7. Alright, in a different post, someone offered me a 41 Willys that has been converted to a panel van. The challenge from Arick So the body will be in the mail to me from Don on Monday. We have Rat Fink who will join in. If anyone else is interested in this project, let me know. Thanks. Here is a pic of the model. Thanks. Jody
  8. Hopefully the paint is cheaper now then it was two years ago. Back then he told me it was almost a grand a quart! OUCH! LOL. Ill have to try to dig up the photos I have and post them! Jody
  9. Is anyone else here interested in this idea? I think it would be fun! I could do some of the body painting! I have house of color gold, pagan gold, as well as some transparent reds and greens so I could do cany color? Jody
  10. Sounds very cool! I know a couple that might be interested. Although, I have to check to make sure they are members here. I know they are on my forums and thiers. LOL.Let me find out. Thanks. Jody
  11. Very cool! That panel is great! Love that idea! Sure would love to see that one finished! LOL. Jody
  12. I would have to say that looks like Chris Goodrishes car. Ya outa see this thing out in the sun!! Jody
  13. LOL. Actually I like this ones top better! LOL. More stylish and shall I say swoopy! LOL. Thanks. Jody
  14. Looks like a great start! Only one thing, your rear tires are on the wrong sides. Right now your car is going backwards. LOL. Dont sweat it, I have tried to do the same thing. LOL. I cant wait to see this thing finished! Jody
  15. Very cool job! You gave me a idea on the rear fenders. LOL. I kept the rear window the same size, but I went about it a different way then you did it looks like!. Of course, I got my angle wrong on one, so I created more work, but all together I like it. Heres front side and rear view so far. Chopped 4 inches and sectioned 4 inches.Thanks. Jody
  16. I am working on a revell 41 Willys and I have sectioned it and doing the chop right now. I am interested in seeing any others out there that may have had these treetments done to them. Thanks. JOdy
  17. Looks great so far! Love seeing these still1 Jody
  18. That is good, however in my experience, wich may vary either by manufacturer or by person, is when I have done that, when I have ran out of propellent, I still had paint left over! Notmuch, but with my lack of income, every bit matters. again this may vary either by manufacturer or by person. Thanks. Jody
  19. For decanting, I turn to my friend, Gonzo! Now I know many of you out there know Gonzo! LOL. Hes so cool, I had to invite him over to my house to stay for good! HEHEHEHE. Here he is! What I did was I removed the pray nozzle within the button and then just inserted the Aluminum tube and epoxied it. I then bent it so I would not have to hold the can at irregular angles. This way, I can get more out of the can. Also by making it flow in a curve, it does not shoot out, it just sprays out lightly, making even less mess. So I love my friend Gonzo! Jody
  20. Good tip here, keep a small jar around with your favorite cleaner and when you are done spraying with the can, take the nozzle off and soak it. When done soaking, put back on the can when your ready for paint. If you do get one that wont spray, make sure you have extras from old emptied out cans so you can keep going. Thanks. Jody
  21. That is one of the best looking 33's Ive ever seen! Jody
  22. Before you reply, I was thinking the kit motor I have is small. Then I remembered the 700 series Merlin motor from the Big Foot kit. So I pulled that out.The high rise manifold should fit with little trouble, and the old boss 429 valve covers fit to a T on the heads. So I will have to do minimum work on this. Thank you all for heading me in the right direction for me to build this monster motor! Thanks. Jody
  23. You know, I didnt even think of that intake!I have two of those! Thanks! Jody
  24. Well, I have the thunderbird pro street kit and the top end is absolutly nothing like this! But I may eb able to start from the block and work my way up. My point is I dont want to buy a $30 motor then start hacking it to bits! Id rather take a cheap plastic one and work up! I do have the single carbs in resin my self, but have seen the split carbs before and intakes simular to that? Any idea where I can get those at least? Then I can use older ford heads and work them onto this block I have then if I have to, scratch new valve covers? Thanks. Jody
