  2. Thanks everyone for the great feedback, I really appreciate it. I am going to further evaluate the CC option and will also look further into Paypal. Thanks also to all that continue to support Pro Tech with our current payment terms. Just to let everyone know with our current terms I can take your order over the phone (or you can send it via email), I will give you a total then you just have to mail the check/MO, no order form to fill out. Charlie Pro Tech
  3. Thanks guys! James, nice to see you joined up, welcome aboard. Charlie Pro Tech
  4. Hey everyone, I have been looking into possibly offering credit card service for orders (orders taken by phone only). I wanted to get your feedback if this would make it easier for those of you that are and are not my current customers. I need to evaluate if it will pay for the charges that I will incur. Thanks for your response, Charlie Pro Tech
  5. Well here it is with the body finally fitted to chassis. As stated in prior post the read end needed to be reset in chassis, more forward/more up to fit wheelwells. I also revised the induction sys. to Hilborn as the car actually ran. A little more work and this will be ready to break-down and start the painting process. Thanks for looking! Charlie Pro Tech
  6. Chris, this is coming along beautiful, very nice work! Charlie Pro Tech
  7. Dave, build is looking good! making nice progress. Charlie Pro Tech
  8. Nice job Roger, another thing you might want to try to tone down the wheels (if you plan on leaving them on the model) is a paint called Polly Scale (a railroad paint). They have bottle clears in gloss, satin and flat. They are water based and flow out super well (no brush streaks) and have a long work time not usually know with water based paints. I use this paint (night black and grey tones) alot for undersides of funny car bodies, undersides of dragster panels etc. I really love the stuff! Charlie Pro Tech
  9. Dave, this is 1/25 scale. Ed, yeah you can't be in a rush when doing the white glue mock-up but it does locate problems before putting that paint on. Thanks Chris, Bill, now I just need to find more time to work on it Charlie Pro Tech
  10. Roger, looks like a cool project. Look forward to seeing it come together. Charlie Pro Tech
  11. Thanks guys! Ed, when using the white glue for mock-up there is a couple of things you can do when you have a problem with it holding. First you can put some on a piece of paper and let it tack/thicken up and it will help to hold the part until it hardens completely. You also can use a hair dryer to speed up the process. One thing when you do a white glue mock-up is you can only glue a few parts at a time and let them completely dry before moving on. Joe, those are tires I cast in resin from the Johan funny car kits. I don't really like the ones in the kit with the separate inner sidewall. Also alot of the ones in the kits are warped and hard to bring back true. Charlie Pro Tech
  12. I have been working on this for a few months now (cleaning mold lines, stripping chrome etc. etc.) and started to do the mock-up (white glue) build. This is the Johan Mustang F/C kit that I will be using to build the Grove (Duddie Ford car) using alot of my (Pro Tech) parts and Chuck Boerner's decals. This is a great kit but there is some problems that needed to be corrected such as - rear end had to be lowered in chassis for correct body/ride height. Also rear needed to be moved forward to center to wheelwells on body. To make it more correct for the Grove car (not the Mickey Thompson car as the kit was designed for) I made new side (tin) panels. The actual car ran a 427 but not wanting to get involved in doing a motor swap I am going to stick with the 429 which Grove ran in his earlier F/C. I will post more pics as I proceed. Thanks for checking it out. Charlie Pro Tech http://protechmodelparts.com/

  21. I cut very thin strips of the metal (aluminum I think) duck tape. It's self adheasive, just wrap around and seal the end with "Future" so it never comes loose. Charlie Pro Tech
  22. Daryl, nice looking build and thanks for using our product. If you like our rad hose then you'll like our fuel line. Charlie Pro Tech
  23. John, WOW that just looks soooo real. I hope you didn't permently attach that business card to the chassis? I don't think it would do well for the aerodynamics  Charlie Pro Tech
  24. Sorry to hear that John, it's always hard losing a loving pet. I have lost many myself over the years but keep hope that we all will be reunited one day. Charlie Pro Tech
  25. John, doing a great job! It seems each build you do you raise the bar even higher. Nice job also on your t-fitting, how much would you charge me (per unit) for 3000 pieces? LOL........ Charlie Pro Tech
