  1. Doug, nice work, I love the old F/E dragsters and early F/C's as I grew up on them, I will be following this build. Also, if you need the Cirello mag we have that in kit form (PTMC 34). Charlie Pro Tech Model Parts
  2. Hi Terry, I have seen some early F/C's that did have a battery that was located on the the rear portion of the chassis, not sure on Brutus. Also the pic you show is of the restored car as they did not have blower hold downs (or blankets) at that time. And with no blanket on this one I would say it does not make any passes or they run it super soft and not on nitro. Also this one is much too clean to be F/C of the day as they were real work-horses. 10. Thanks Brett, yeah I'll be using Chucks decals and can't wait to get started on this (if I can ever finish my Tommy Grove F/C LOL). I saw this car run many times when I was a kid in Maryland, some great times in drag racing and what a beautiful car this was. Charlie Pro Tech
  11. Brett, looking good! this is one I have planed to do in the future. Did you have any problems with the decals (fit etc.) on the Johan body?? I plan to use the Johan kit also. Charlie Pro Tech

  14. Hi Jim, the reason I use Testor's clear enamel is that I really like the way it flows out with a minimal amount of knock-down during the sanding/polishing phase. The drawback is the wait time (approx. 2 months) before you can work the final finish. I do the body/paint first and set it aside to dry and by the time I'm ready for it (way more than 2 months) I can start the sanding/polishing process. Another benefit is no clean-up, I use the can . I have heard good things about Testor's One Coat clear and might try this in the future, I'm curious how this compares to the clear enamel in flow out/leveling properties. Lac. usually has in inherent property of orange peeling no matter how heavy you apply it. If anyone has had experience with it let me know on above, thanks! I'm sure the guys would love to see it. We can have a challenge to see who finishes a model first  . See ya on Tues. at the meeting. Charlie Pro Tech
  21. Thanks guys, well the body is finally finished. I spent about 8-10 hours sanding/polishing the paint and am happy with the results. I also have the glass installed, Bare Metal Foil (I used a fine Scotch Brite on the foil to knock down the chrome effect and make it look more like aluminum) used for body window trim, and made rear panel to replace rear window. Thanks for looking. Also don't forget to check out my new YouTube video in the "Links, Website section" Charlie Pro Tech
