I'm nearly speechless, Tim. The level of detail you've captured in an assembly of this scale is phenomenal. Wow! -

Your mock up shots are pure gorgeous, my friend! And the Lenco rework isn't too shabby either! -

Looking forward to seeing pics, Tim! -
Impressive work, Ray! I love your updates. And to answer your question from a few days ago, to the best of my knowledge, KC should be in early June.

I'm glad we see eye to eye, Kerry! Thanks Brad. I'm glad to be back on it, too. Hey Chris... Thanks brother. I'm pretty stoked about how it's shaping up. I totally understand what you're saying Joe. There's a fine line between settling the body down over the tires a bit more without contacting the inside of the quarters, while still maintaining at least a smidge of separation between sidewalls and the frame/suspension. I've probably got a max of about .080" to work with before the tires are touching the tubs. IF I can get it down .060" I'd be very happy. Don't know if it'll happen or not. Haven't had much time to work on it the last couple nights but did succeed in finishing the ends of what would be the axles on a 1:1, so you can't see the aluminum tubing and raw end of the axle/hat assembly any more. Looks much better and will post a pic of that next time.

Best 1/25 Ford 351 Cleveland engine?
futurattraction replied to br67's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I sell a 351C pro stock engine on my website but have the parts to do a Boss 351 style of engine without too much more effort. I've already got the modified stock heads (same detail as the pro stock heads, single 4V intake and finned valve covers. I modified the Boss 302 engine from the AMT Cougar kit, added the extended timing chain housing on the front of the block, reshaped the intake to match a Cleveland style intake, added casting detail on the cylinder heads, etc. It comes with a MAD pre-wired distributor. Here is a link to the engine/trans page on my website, if you're interested. The only thing I didn't do on my engine isn't I didn't raise the deck height to the scale 9.2". Otherwise, I think it's the closest to being an accurate replicate, in 1/25th scale, that is available. I have owned several 351C engines over the years and wanted to capture as much of their unique appearance as possible... http://www.futurattraction.com/8.html Scott -
1/16 Scale Army Vega Funny Car - Finished 10/14/2018

All your paint work looks gorgeous. Proof, again, why you keep re-doing until it's as close to perfect as you can make it... Great update, brother! -
To continue progress on my wheelie bars, I need to check fit under the car. To do that, I had to reattach the chassis-side 4-link brackets, which I prematurely installed quite some time back, only to discover that they really needed more gluing surface than what the cast-in-place guides offered. Last night added some thinned-down .040"x.040" strip to provide more surface and strength. Sorry the pic isn't a little more in focus but I think you get the idea. With the brackets installed. As I said earlier, there's no room at the inn under here. The tire/wheel assemblies are just floating on the rear end so there's actually a bit of latitude in spacing everything, but not much... While it's not bad, I'm not 100% happy with where the ride height is at at the present time. I am thinking about building another set of shocks with shorter springs, then space the mounting as necessary to get me where I want it to be. Wall to wall tire... Thoughts/comments welcome. Later!

Thanks for the thoughts, Kerry. I also sing in a men's barbershop chorus and our annual show is that same day/night (two performance) that we've been practicing for, for the past several months... Thanks Dave! More to come. Thank you, so much, Leonard. It's great hearing from you. I'm glad to see you're back on your SS Camaro build.

Cool!!! That's very clean work, Leonard. Thanks for the update...

Thanks Brad. I keep getting sidetracked on this, so am always a bit dubious about something getting in the way of the “foreseeable future”… LOL Thanks a ton, Ray. I’m glad to see you back on your Deuce. Ron – I hit a lengthy time where I was busy with my Futurattraction stuff and just sort of felt lost about what to do on this. I’m glad I’m back to it, too. Hey, thanks Ray. Why, thank you mister Kerry… J I am really bummed. I discovered a couple weeks ago I’m not going to be able to make the QC swap. I’ve got a commitment that’s been on the books for a long time that falls on that same weekend. That stinks. Thank you, Joe. Good advice! Dennis – if you have any questions about anything, please be sure and let me know. Thanks Tyrone! I appreciate the support Allen. I’ll try to keep my nose to the grind stone. Thanks, so much, Codi. I absolutely love what you’re doing on your “J”. It feels good to be making a bit of progress, Chris. Thanks Randy. I really appreciate it!

1/8 Big Tub Buildup with my dad......
futurattraction replied to BHarrison's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Very nice progress, Bryan, and it's cool that you're getting your dad back into the hobby after being away from it for so long... -
The work you're doing the and step-by-step process you're taking to move from Point A to B to C is mesmerizing, Ray. Will you have this, in some fashion at KC this year? I'd love to see it in person.

Totally impressed with this latest update, Tim. And I see who to talk to about getting ventilation tubes made for my 1/32nd B-17.50 cal machine guns whenever I get around to building that... lol -
Time to get back on this horse again. When I last posted I had received “lug nuts” for my rear wheels but was still in search of studs. I have since found and ordered some, which did arrive a few weeks ago. I drilled a new set of rear outer wheels and rings for my slicks so I will be able to simulate rim screws. I'll post some more/better pics when I make a bit more progress on this. After having done a rough mockup of this set of wheels, in conjunction with the axle, simulated hats, etc., I realized I needed to narrow the rear end a bit to make everything fit. You can't tell tons of difference, but it's there. I also added some thin rings of aluminum tubing at the outer ends to simulate the housing ends. I like these better than my previous attempt. I also chose to remove a bit of material on the inside of the quarter panels. I may do even a bit more before all is said and done. There is absolutely NO extra room under this contraption for any more tire. It could really stand to have frame rails that are .700 wide rather than .800 for something with this tire setup. 14x32s would be no sweat. I made some more progress on the wheelie bar set. I got the upper tubes attached at the rear wheel housings after adding some RB Motion adjusting nuts and think everything lines up pretty good. Vertical ties were added at the mid-point. I’m going with the idea of adding another set and cross-tube forward where the upper tubes angle upward slightly. Though not attached, this mockup shows that things are pretty well aligned. Lord willing, I’ll be back on this one for foreseeable future. Comments welcome...
