  1. Mods - If this should be moved to a different area, that's fine. It just dawned on me earlier this morning that I haven't seen any postings by Tyrone in the past several weeks. Does anybody know what's up with him? Have I missed something?
  2. Super work, Chris. Very clean, as usual. Keep it up, bud!
  3. Welcome to the forum Hanabi. How many years have you been building models? The Porsche you posted a pic of looks very, very nice.
  4. Does anybody know the thickness of the finished chrome on the parts? Stuff looks really nice, but am curious if small/fine detail might be lost. I'm thinking of something like small hex head bolts on wheel faces, such as on Super Trick or similar wheels where there are small exposed details. Guess I should just e-mail him for information...
  5. That's pretty wild looking Ray. I'm impressed with all the work you've accomplished on this in what seems to me, to be, a relatively short period of time. Keep up the great (and very unique) execution...
  6. A roadster! That is looking really, really nice, Leonard. Makes me want to break out my 1/16th Mustang! LOL
  7. Thanks Jimmy. Thanks, too, Cameron...
  8. Oh my, Leonard! That's fantastic progress, and fantastic looking, to boot! The wait was worth it, for sure... Looking forward to more.
  9. If I'm not mistaken the Monogram '87 Turbo was 1/24th whereas the M&D Hay T-bird was 1/25th. If the difference in scale doesn't bother, then that'd be the most direct way to build stock.
  10. You're off to a super start, Chris. Looking forward to more updates!
  11. Looking through your chronology of pictures was mesmorizing, Ray.
  12. Cameron - a good way of removing the backing without risking damage to the PE parts is to place the backing rubber and all in acetone until it separates by itself. You'll need to soak it in acetone to remove the purple/blue film anyway. If left long enough, everything will come apart on its own without physically separating it. This is especially important on lighter gauge PE or if there are etch lines intended for bending in a certain location. This suggestion is also on my website in the Tips 'n Tricks section, in case you missed it.
  13. In 1:1, it's going to depend on the dimensions of the hardware being used to join the suspension to the brackets. 4-link brackets are going to user a larger size rod end than those used on the front suspension, say, of the same car. I'm sure others will chime in with more info.
  14. Looks outstanding! Everything about it is right on the money.
  15. What I really think you need to consider, Tim, is building the Henry body out of aluminum, just to keep it consistent with your virtually all-metal theme you've followed thus far... LOL By the way, I can't wait to see what you do when you shift to the front suspension work.
  16. That is just too cool! Great detail and great build all the way around...
  17. Looks great, Roger...!
  18. Jaw-dropping and picking up off floor...
  19. That's prettier than pretty... Glad to see your update, Tim! I was starting to suffer from withdrawl.
  20. Good theory but, for me anyway, it's oftentimes difficult to put into practice.
  21. Thank you Stan. Trying to keep it moving along, however slow my progress might be.
  22. Thank you for chiming in, Brian. I'm happy with how it's going together. My biggest problem is simply having and taking the time to get meaningful work done on it.
