  1. I reached a bit of a milestone last night. I finally was able to complete repairs on the broken passenger side strut mount, got the gusset added, and actually have the car so it sets on all fours for the first time. I'm using Beadalon crimp tubes (necklace-making item) which serves as the bushing inside the upper strut mount. For the moment, I've got a straight-pin holding everything together up-top, with it extending down through the strut and lower A-arm wishbone mount. I added tubing back at the firewall to tie the top of the upper strut tube into the frame rail, which you can see in this pic. It keeps the rear of the resin "tin work" from floating and makes the front end assembly much more rigid. Head-on shot Head-on low-angle Same angle as pic 1 with the tin work setting in place Passenger side angle Angle from other side Comments welcome!
  2. Looks really sharp, Tyrone, and your recent detailing puts it over the top!
  3. I'm speechless. Hardly ever happens...
  4. Good one Joe! How true about the awards...
  5. Looks good Alan! Nice shade of red and has the perfect gasser stance!
  6. She came out really nice Ron! Your paint looks super, and the details just add to the overall realism of it. Thanks for sharing!
  7. Looking good Greg! You've done a nice job of illustrating the differences between the sanded and original texture side on the front clip. Looking forward to more, my friend...
  8. Looks super-sharp, Tyrone. I really like that shade of red, bro. And thanks for the mention...as always!
  9. Very nice, Tim. I'd have to agree that your second attempt at the brace came out much more refined appearing than the first - though I'd be happy to call the first one mine! I especially like the recessed milling that you did. It gives it a totally finished, professional appearance (which is consistent with everything else you've done on this build... How's the hand doing? It looks all.....blue. LOL
  10. Yes. I do. Here is the link to my webpage for transmissions: http://www.futurattraction.com/8.html
  11. Way to go, Sean! Your build looks really nice...
  12. Amazing. What I'm really curious about is what you're going to make the needle bearings and retainer clips out of to make the u-joints functional... LOL
  13. Fantastic job, Tim. I just get totally mesmerized by your work and always look forward to your next photo update.
  14. I am sorry to hear of your loss. Prayers have been lifted on your behalf. May the Lord comfort you at this challenging time.
  15. Stunning - and the body isn't even in paint, yet... That is such a masterpiece, Chris, even in its unfinished state. I bet you're pumped, now that you've got it even this far along in the mockup stage. Every little detail (like the burst panel springs) that's present in this just blows it off the charts. Wow! Stunning - oh, did I say that already????
  16. Joseph's a top-notch guy in every way. Not to worry. I'm sure you'll hear from him soon.
  17. Hi Jeremy, Are you talking about a full-width OEM-style housing or a fabricated housing? How wide from housing end to housing end?
  18. Everything is looking great, so far Kris! Looking forward to your next update...
  19. Looking good, Tyrone. You've got that vinyl top thing down cold...
  20. Hey Tyrone. I think your 'stang is looking great. I agree with Clayton that the top set of wheels would be my choice, too. Your engine work looks out of this world, too!
  21. Very nice build, Daryl! Detailing is great and the paint and striping look really good on it. Are the two-tone blues and white all paint? Looks perfectly to scale and very appropriate for that build.
