  1. There's about one week left before Cajun ModelFest XXII at the USS Kidd Museum in Baton Rouge, LA. It's next Saturday, April 21. Come visit with Baton Rouge Scale Modelers, show your models and win some stuff in the raffle. See you there!
  2. I'm pretty certain that the MPC Bora is based on the Airfix tooling. They released a lot of other Airfix stuff under the MPC label. Anyway, there is one on Ebay right now for small bucks. http://cgi.ebay.com/MASERATI-BORA-BY-AIRFI...1QQcmdZViewItem
  3. You probably need to lock them up now. At that age they learn new things every minute and she looks like a quick learner! She'll be building in about a month!
  4. Don't know what you're looking for, but try this: http://www.imagestation.com/album/?id=4292284851
  5. Mr. Obsessive, you are not only a great builder but also a master of understatement!

  7. Rare or not rare, I think a Camaro with a six would be very cool build and it would really be an attention grabber!
  8. I'd like to thank everybody whose posted links so far. There's a lot of great ideas out there!
  9. This topic might be better on the Clubs forum but I thought I would try it here since "General" seems to get more traffic. Anyway, our club's webmaster will probably disagree since he doesn't need any more demands on his limited time but I think the Baton Rouge Scale Modelers website is in serious need of an upgrade. We need to get some color and some pop (besides just updating information)! I'd like to see everybody else's club sites to get good ideas  that I can show to our resident nerd. Post'em if you got'em and thanks a lot!
  10. The latest edition of Cajun ModelFest will be held Saturday, April 21, 2007 in downtown Baton Rouge at the USS Kidd Memorial and Museum. This is a truly unique setting for a contest on the levee of the Mississippi River. The contest will take place inside the actual museum with your models displayed amidst the many other interesting exhibits that are there. And of course, the WW2 U.S. Navy destroyer USS Kidd is docked at the site and is open for tours if you need a break from the contest. There's nothing else like this contest!! The raffle will be awesome as well. If I heard right at the last meeting, there should be over a hundred kits to give away as well as lots of other items donated by local businesses. Check out our link below and click on the "Really Obscure" logo to go to the contest page for a printable flyer, entry form, and directions to the site. See you there!! http://www.brmodelers.com/ http://www.usskidd.com/
  11. Hi Everybody! Greetings from Baton Rouge, LA! Baton Rouge Scale Modelers is a small but very active club and our membership has a wide range of modeling interests (I haven't been able to convert them all to car modelers, yet!). In fact, we are currently the IPMS Region 6 Chapter of the Year. We will be having our show, Cajun ModelFest XXII, on Saturday, April 21, 2007 at the U.S.S. Kidd Museum, in downtown Baton Rouge. It's always a great time, lots of great models and the raffle is awesome. Come and see us. Of course, if you live in our area you can come to our meetings twice a month on the second and last Thursdays at the Jones Creek Library. Check our website at the link below for details and a map to the library. http://www.brmodelers.com/
