I know it is again a German Ford and again a Taunus. This is the sister model of the famous Ford Cortina that was build in the UK. Compared with the Mk3 Cortina there are some significant differences in both body styles and engines. The Cortina had mostly english build engines while the Taunus had german engines. Another difference are the rear fenders and the fact that there was never a Cortina Coupe. This one is a 1973 Ford Taunus GXL Coupe. There development code was TC = Taunus-Cortina

This tIme It was a bit tricky. There are several models like the Riley Pathfinder or Wolelsey 4/44 or MG Magnette ZA that Share a similar body. The Riley Pathfinder and the Wolelesy 6/90 had the same body. The Wolesey 6/90 was a simple batch engeering of BMC.

This Times autoquiz was a car from Brazil. The 1973 - 1982 VW Brasilia. Some of you said that this was the VW 411/412 Variant. Or they gave me a mixture of booth types as an answer. But that was wrong. The Brasilia and the 411/412 Looks simililar but the Brasila is based on a KarmanGhia chassis and has the Beetle Engine, while the 411/412 had a specific Type 4 chassis.

Here a second hint. The engine is from a german sports car manufacturer -
Nice build. The first crossmember was the main difference between the Ford GPW and the Willys Jeep. The first Fords also had a stamped Ford sign on the lower left rear (where the Jerry can was) and on top of the two flaps a the rear fenders. On the late ones this was deleted. And all screw hats had the Ford sign embossed in it. Don't forget the VIN plate on the dashboard. The 1/24 Italeri Willys Jeep is in fact a Ford GPW. The chassis has the press steel crossmember

It seems that this weeks auto quiz was a challenge for you. Expect the unexpected - 1968 - 1975 Paulussen Beradino . If you read the story behind the car you will fall in love with it. If you had the chance to talk to Johannes Paulussen it is not easy to stop him. It was great to talk with hin during the Schloss Dyck Classic Days 2012

This it I was looking for a special car. Some may thought that is is conversion for a VW Beetle like the fiberfab, but it isn't This was the only sports car that was build in the former German Democratic Republic (GDR) and it was an independed manufacture. It was not ruled by the socialist SED regime in East-Berlin. This is a Melkus RS1000. The son of Heinz Melkus is still producing the RS1000 today.
