  1. Man o man! That's gorgeous, Dennis! I had cobra Rs on my fox for 10 years before I did the 5 lug swap. I just got the car back in February of this year from paint. An original all black interior car as well. That white and titanium is beautiful. Very nice car.
  2. Hey folks. The title is not a mistake. Lol I started with a 1993 Cobra kit and a Monogram 1992 GT convertible kit. I'm not sure why a GT hatch was never kitted, and I don't count the horrible AMT version, but I wanted to build one to match my 1:1. So I started cutting and scavenging parts from the LX coupe kit as well. A set of Casey's torque thrust wheels painted are convincing as Bullitt wheels. I also used a GT wing from the AMT 88 Mustang GT kit and widened it. Color will be PPG Reef Blue Poly and titanium, just like the 1:1. Here's where I'm at so far. All comments are welcome! First the 1:1 Now, the 1:24th.
  3. Thank you! The valve covers were dechromed and sprayed with Testors fabric gray lacquer. I wanted a raw, unfinished cast look.
  4. Thanks! The wheels are from a member here on the forum, Casey. I purchased them off of eBay. The seller name is forward resin.
  5. Hey everyone. I finished this Fairlane back in May of this year, and I forgot to take any pictures. The body has been shaved of all emblems, lock cylinders, and trim. Door handles were replaced with Revell 69 Talladega handles. Color is Tamiya Pure white with Testors one coat clear. Interior is Testors Italian red with foiled trim. Power is a 427 SOHC and a 4 speed. Wheels are Casey's big steel wheels with kit hubcaps and redlined tires. All comments are welcome!
  6. Thanks! The wheels on both models are from Casey, a member here on the forum. I purchase them from Ebay. His seller name is forward resin. And ill try for more pics, but it's limited in size. Lol
  7. Thanks for the responses everyone! With the builds I see on this forum, it means a lot that these builds are well received. Hopefully, I can contribute a few more soon. Lol
  8. Being a Ford guy, I love the dually and the Orange coupe. But they all look great!
  9. The wheels are resin cast steel wheels from Casey, a member on the forum. I purchased them from Ebay, his seller name is forward resin. The tires on the F100 are from any of the revell california wheels kits. The tires on the Camaro are from Pegasus.
  10. I didn't get much done, but I did finish these 2. The Revell '67 Camaro SS, and the Moebius '69 F100. All comments are welcome!
  11. Thanks, Tom! The engine is from the Boss 302 kit with the green & black box art. However, the intake cover is from the 2014 Mustang GT kit, the one that is orangish, yellowish color on the box. I didn't want to use the engine from that kit because it uses metal axles, and has holes in it for the axle to run through, and I didn't like that. But other than that, the engine is the same. I didn't go with the Boss intake because it has a flat spot on top of it where its clearanced for the strut tower bar. You can also get the engine from the Revell kit of the pre painted Mustang GT.
  12. Hey guys! I finally got a little time at the table today. I washed the panel lines and cowl vent on the Fairlane. Shot a few coats of Tamiya clear on it as well. I decided to go with a smooth engine compartment. A little styrene and some sanding and filling and paint and that's that. Next is the engine. I can't decide if I want the 427 side oiler or a SOHC 427. We shall see.
  13. Here's that pic. Hope this helps!
  14. Thank you! The front suspension came from a Revell Ford Taurus NASCAR kit. Just the crossmember and control arms were used. I mated those to the 69 F100 frame with little modifications. I may still have a pic or 2 of it in progress. As for the GM counterpart, I picked up a Revell 66 C10 shortbed just yesterday. Lol
  15. Lol I noticed that, too. I would like to think that it was corrected sometime after that picture was taken. But, who knows. After all it is a TV truck. I'm sure the owner has it straight by now.
  16. Thanks guys! My inspiration for this build were these 2 trucks. I didn't want custom wheels, I think the steel wheels flow better with the overall look.
  17. Thanks everyone! It took a little longer than I wanted to finish, but I'm pretty happy with it.
  18. Hey everyone. I finally got this one off the bench today. Factory Boxwood green with Wimbledon white trim. Power is a new 5 litre Coyote and a 6 speed from the '13 Boss 302 kit, Casey's resin 18 & 20 inch steel wheels with stock hupcaps. Interior is Tamiya light sand with white trim as well. All comments welcome!
  19. Finally got this one buttoned up. Now in Under Glass!
  20. Hey guys. A small update. I put some color on the interior panels, Testors Italian red laquer. I got some flocking on the floor as well. Going to start the engine and chassis detailing next. All comments welcome!
  21. Thanks for the comments everyone! I got some color on the body, hood, and wheels last night. I may have the interior in some color by day's end.
  22. You must've read my mind with this build! Love the updated appearance to the Torino. I plan on doing one similar to yours, but not in the Starsky and Hutch livery. Excellent color and the stripe looks waaaaay better. Killer build.
  23. A little update on the Fairlane. I've wanted redlines on a few of my last builds, but I couldn't figure out how to do them. But today, I think I got it. I think it definately adds to the look. And I also added separate plated door handles from the Revell 69 Talladega kit
  24. I tried the 427 kit hubcaps, and I think they look perfect on the larger diameter wheels. I think these are keepers.
  25. Hey everyone. Since I'm waiting on paint to dry, I decided to take out the Fairlane and do some mockup. The plan is bright white with a red interior, and a red rocker stripe. Power will come from a 427 with a 5 speed. The wheels are Casey's resin pro touring steel wheels that will be painted to match the car. I haven't decided if I'm going to use the kit hubcaps or just leave the wheels plain. Thanks for looking! I am going for something like this.
