  1. Hey guys! Been away from the bench for a bit. Got a stupid cold that kicked my butt Lol. Got a few things done last night. Got some accent painting done on the valve covers & intake cover. I also redid the firewall, made it completely smooth. Waiting on some Tamiya clear and some other things to get here, then I will be back on it good.
  2. My favorite wheels, too! Here's a 65 fastback I did a while ago.
  3. Hey folks! Got a little color on my 69 today. Only 2 coats so far, maybe 2 more, then some clear. I still have to mask off the sides and shoot the side trim Wimbledon white. Now onto the interior and chassis detailing!
  4. Also cleaned up the frame a bit more, finished all the mock up of the front and rear suspension. I modified the firewall to get a little more clearance for the engine. Also mocked up the radiator from the Boss 302 kit
  5. Thanks everyone! I got a little bit more done on the F100 today. I tightened up the gap on the rear bumper, got some color on the wheels and washed the hubcaps.
  6. Hey everyone. Not a huge update, but I did get some mock up done on the rear suspension. I modified the crossmember from the AMT Wagon rod and modified the 4 link bars a bit. Now I need to scour the parts boxes for some decent looking coil overs. Also started filling some mounting points from the leaf spring attaching points.
  7. Thanks everyone for the suggestions!
  8. I never thought about guitar string! It does have that texture like the plastic loom on a harness.
  9. Hey Rob. I got the engine from the Revell Boss 302 kit.
  10. I was wondering what is available out there to make a realistic appearing engine harness. Any thoughts or ideas? I'm doing a 69 F100 with a new Coyote 5 liter and want to liven it up a bit.
  11. I bought the '71 Ranger longed just for the rear bumper Lol. A couple more.
  12. Thanks for the comments! Did some work on the suspension & engine placement today. Nascar taurus front upper & lower arms. Using the 5 liter from the ' 13 Boss 302 kit and upper intake from the '14 Mustang GT. Rear suspension will be the 4 link setup from the AMT Wagon rod.
  13. I googled "resin cast steel wheels" and that took me to a seller named forward resin on ebay. I think they are 9.99 a set plus shipping. I've gotten several sets. Hers a link. http://m.ebay.com/itm/Resin-Pro-Touring-20-Steel-Wheels-with-Staggered-Offset-/321639047951?nav=SEARCH
  14. Hey everyone. Finally cracked open my 69 F100 kit and started cutting and lowering it the way it should be. Boxwood green and Wimbledon white trim, wheels, bumpers, and grille. Using a set of resin wheels and stock hubcaps. Power will be a new 5 liter Ford and a 6 speed. All comments welcome!
  15. Man that looks good! Perfect stance. How did you swap the 55 f100 suspension on the frame if you don't mind me asking? Got any pics?
  16. That looks killer! Are those Steve Zimmerman wheels?
  17. No, sorry Mike. Just the light blue one.
  18. I picked mine up at the local Ford dealer. They have another in the case if youre interested.
  19. This is an awesome build! Love it love it love it!
  20. Dude that's a good looking F100. The wheels are super nice.
  21. It's made by a company called 1st Gear. The bed does look like it will fit the AMT kit very well. I put them side by side & front to back yesterday, and they line up really well.
  22. No, Jeff I haven't yet. It looks pretty close to scale by eyeballing it though. I was thinking that it would be great to get this casted!
  23. Hey everyone! I picked up this 1:25th scale F100 last week & thought I'd share it with you guys. Pretty nice for a diecast, the bed is correct, which is the best part! It has a 302 that is wired, kinda light on detail, but none the less, a good find for $30. Enjoy!
