Mobeius 69 F100 update 6/4/16
665@213 replied to 665@213's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Thanks for the compliments everyone! I got the interior done finally. Tamiya light sand and Wimbledon white trim. I couldn't find a shifter I liked, so I made one out of a Mustang boot, a paperclip, and the shifter ball from a Revell 67 Camaro. I hate how the windshield goes in, however I didn't need glue, which is nice. But when I installed it, the paint on the right A pillar popped off. So I had to touch that up. Chassis will be next, then that's it. It will be painted a graphite gray with silver and black suspension peices. -

Hey everyone. Been picking away at the F100. I finally got some clear on the new body. Wet sanded and polished. Working on the interior now. Chassis is next for paint and detailing, thinking of a graphite gray color for the frame. -

Hey everyone. Been picking away at this for a little bit Now. Started off with a small block Ford and Pegasus Hellas. Now has a DOHC Cobra motor & a set of Casey's resin steel wheels, the smaller front wheels all the way around with stock hubcaps. Color is Testors Root Beer. All comments welcome!

Mobeius 69 F100 update 6/4/16

Hey everyone. Well it's been a while since I've worked on the F100. I wanted to change a few things after I painted the body. So I got the new 70 F100 kit, and removed the small side mouldings from the body. I also painted it the original color I wanted on it, Boxwood Green. The color on it before was Tamiya olive drab. So here's how it looks now. I like it much better with no trim. Plus, I like this color much better. All comments welcome! -
Thanks everyone! This one is done, but I don't know how to link it up to the Under Glass thread.

Lol I'm not a Camaro fan, either. But I've wanted to do a 67 for a long time. I like the standard grille much better than the hide away headlight grille. Everybody does those. I wanted a little different car than what I've seen before. I get tired of seeing red or blue Camaros. Nothing wrong with them, just too many of them in my opinion.

That looks great, Mercelo! Do you have any engine pics?

Thanks for the compliments everyone. I'm happy that this project was well received!

Sure thing. I have the Tbird a much needed lowering, widened a set of Weld front wheels for the rear, bigger turbo, piping made from solder, a scratchbuilt front mounted intercooler, and an air filter from the Speedwagon kit.

Thanks! The valve covers are kit pieces from the Revell 69 COPO Camaro kit. I smoothed them out so the oil filler cap wouldn't interfere with the lettering. And the script decals are the hood and trunk emblems from the Revell 57 Belair kit.

The block and transmission are from the 67 kit. The heads, valve covers, and headers are from the 69 COPO Camaro kit. The intake and carbs are from the Revell 67 pro street Chevelle kit. I had to take some of the height off of the intake. And the air cleaner is from the 69 RS/ SS Camaro kit, cut in half and shortened. The "Chevrolet" scripts on the valve covers are decals from the Revell 57 Belair kit, the hood and trunk emblems. Engine color is Duplicolor Chevy engine Orange enamel.

David, I did, but there wasnt much in the thread. I got so aggravated with this thing, that it almost ate a cinder block wall a couple times. Lol I fought the urge not to toss it. Im glad that I didn't now. ☺

Thanks everyone for the comments! It took awhile to get this thing just right. I think that this is the nicest finish that I have done. I hope my mobeius 69 F100 turns out this good! Lol

Yes Mike, the color is Butternut Yellow. I've had that color stuck in my head since I saw that Revell was going to release this car. There was no doubt in my mind that it would be any other color.

That's a folding tonneau cover on my girlfriend's Explorer Sport Trac. Works great for photos.

Hey everyone. I finally finished my 67 Camaro. This thing fought me a bunch, but I didn't give up. Here she is!
-
Got the bare metal foil all finished up, threw on some more clear, and gonna get this one buttoned up.
-
Hey everyone. I pulled this thing back out after getting aggravated with a paint issue. I got another kit and changed some things, removed the lock cylinders, a few other little things. Paint is still Butternut yellow. Waiting on some bare metal foil and then I will finish it up.
