MAN!!!!! This thing is killer!! Ive got some diecast latemodels from ADC, and they're nice, but this thing holy smokes!! -
Stan, beautiful job on this Impala sir. I'm working on a 67 Chevelle Pro Street myself. If I may make a suggestion, the shifter is actually mounted backwards, but other than that, great work! lol

That's a good lookin Fairlane Larry!

That Olds is bada$$! Nice to see other folks building killer rides from diecast. Great job!! -
Not a whole lot to show right now. I made some C notch brackets for the rear frame rails, & started on another intake for it. Been fooling around with trying to build or preferably find some headers for the Boss 429 that fit it good, but no luck so far. Probably have some updates this weekend. Thanks for looking!!

I've been wanting to see 1 of these kits done. Looks like youre off to a fine start. Curious to see how that new % liter will look like built up.

LOL! That's a looong ride for this ol hunk of plastic!!
-
That's a good lookin' Comet! The wheels look great on it.

Thanks everyone! The quarter windows are just filled with the window deletes from the GT-350 kit & smoothed over. The rear window & roof have a little work in them as well. Theres a body line that runs down the top of the roof to the trunk on each side. Those were both removed & cleaned up, then new trim made around the window & foiled.

Thanks for the good words! Roy, the front suspension is from the Revell 99 Cobra. I built simulated deflated airbags to get it closer to the ground. The rear suspension is 05 Mustang control arms & slightly narrowed rear with airbags.

Hello everyone. I've had this one done for a while now, finally took some pics of it today. Went the pro-touring route on this. Paint is Tamiya Candy Lime. Dropped in a 427 SOHC & a 4speed. It ain't perfect by any means, but it works for me. All comments welcome. Thanks for looking!!

Man, that fastback looks good. great job of mixing old & new. Those Big Time Muscle wheels look spot on . And the paint looks flawless.

Looks much better with the wheel wells moved up. Ill be following this 1. -
I figured since I was waiting for parts for a few other projects, I would start cutting up this. Came in the mail Saturday. The re-issue of the AMT Super Stones F150 4WD. Always wanted to do a 2WD short bed. Here's where Im at so far: New bed floor & inner side walls, shortened frame, also added the smaller "racetrack" mouldings to the bottom of the body. power comes from a Boss 429 with 2 Autolite inline 4 barrel carbs & a 5 speed trans. Pegasus Hellas 19" & 23" wheels. Paint will be Paintscratch factory 79 Ford Tangerine & Cream 2 tone. All comments welcome!!

Thanks guys! I haven't done a whole lot to it. I did build a flat chassis for it. I also ordered a rear taillight panel, taillights, rear bumper & front grille/ bumper from the Modelhaus for it. I was thinking about how to do the interior for it.Maybe the tub from a full detail Chezoom to go off of? Kind of swoopy & that kit has some nice looking seats I interior from what I can remember. Im not sure.

I actually got this body form the guy who did the master for it. It was originally an R&R casting, then somehow Bandit picked it up.
-
That was my original plans when I got the body, but it doesn't fit those chassis at all. the cage is too tall. plus I want a streetable look with a full interior & maybe the Ford Hemi from the jukebox ford kit with twin turbos or something like that. put the turbos in the high beam holes.

Hey everybody. I was looking for some parts on Sunday & found this resin comet body & started fooling with it. Stuck some Pegasus Hellas under it & glued on a teardrop from a Revell Thunderbolt. Here's what I got so far. I was going to just do a quick slammer, but I think it'll look right neat with a scratchbuilt interior & engine bay. Made a flat plate chassis for now to get the ride height set up. Colors will be Wimbledon White with red interior. I have a rear taillight panel, taillights, & rear bumper coming from the Modelhaus also to finish off the rear.
-
Bandit Resins offers it now. I got this one from Jerry Frazier just a little bit north of me. He did the original casting of it.

Hey everybody. I was digging around in some boxes today & came across this Comet Body I'd forgotten I had. So, I stuck some Pegusas Hellas underneath of it, & cut the teardrop out of a Thunderbolt hood, and now I have this: I was thinking Wimbledon White & chrome grille & bumpers. Just a quick slammer. Shouldve put in drag racing models I guess, but it is on the workbench.
