  1. Thanx for the comments, guys bbowser: I decided this would be a rustbucket way before I sarted working on it. And I'm glad I did, because the fitment of this model is horible... I believe I'll never see a model as badly designed and molded as this one was... krazyglu: Sticking with it was always "my thing" - not a single model ever made me go:"I can't do this..." That's the beauty of modelling, especially scratchbuilding
  2. Thanx, fellas Joe: I'll be honoured if you used the decals If you send me your e-mail adress I can send you the original file for Coreldraw - it is vector graphics, so you can resize, modify or do anything else to the sheet free at will Just keep in mind that the DamDesign is my imaginary workshop Chris: Satan would be scared of this thing if it was 1:1...
  3. Thanx lordairgtar: Well, I guess this thing and that monster that Dr. Cranky is building could defend the planet from zombies together
  4. Describing this project could be... Well... A bit funny... What I wanted is a French car to follow the French fighter jet theme. The plane I went for was a Mirage 2000, the car was a 1/24 die-cast Citroen C2 from Welly. I modified the body (wide body kit, clean look, ...). After that the complete car was wrapped in BMF, sanded and engraved to simulate the pannels on a plane. I also engraved all the rivets etc. The decals are from some Italeri or Revell kit, not sure... They are from a Mirage 2000, though. The interior has one seat (which was also modified to look like a jet-seat) in the midle of the car - like the jet Rims are 100% scratchbuit. The WIP can be seen on this link. Here are a few pics of it (More shots can be seen on this link): Stock: Now:
  5. I hope this 'Palla is going to be displayed on a mirror - that engraving HAS TO BE seen! Love it!
  6. Too bad the BMF wrinked a bit on the Texas bumper. Appart from that she is hot
  7. I finished another weathering project for a friend of mine. It's a Motor Max 1/18 die-cast Ford 1940 Pick-up. Though it is a die-cast, everything but the cabin and the hood is molded in plastic Paint is acrylic, paint chipping was done with the hair-spray technique. This was the first time I tried it and I fell in love with it A big "thumbs-up" to Dr. Cranky and his wonderful gallery of rat-rods that inspired me and gave a lot of answers There are quite a few flaws and the next one will be better. Every model is a training terain for the next one The WIP can be seen on this link. It was finished a few days ago and here are some (poor) pics f it: The way it was given to me: And the way she looks now: With her older brother: Neeeeeeeeext.........
  8. Love the way that Kennie came out! The only thing that I disslike is the joining line on the fuel-tank joint. I know, you should strip it of chrome, glue it, putty it, sand it, paint it and THEN chrome it, and I know that's a procedure most people hate, so I'm not going to give you any hard time about it Anyways: Great job!
  9. Where my jaw at.......?! That thing is amazing! V8? No, wait... V48? No... Wait... V-What...?!
  10. Thanx, Zukiholic About the tape: The window is a 2-piece thingy and the model actually has one "glass" piece and the other (taped) one i actually a thin piece of PVC foil that was glued to the model with small pieces of BMF
  11. Thanx, guys! Zukiholic: Insane indeed - not going to complicate that much on another model for a shile now... And dirt and rust is just my thing Besides - if she a runner, she ain't gotta be purtie
  12. Thanx, guys! made007: You can see more shots of it in the link I've posted cruz: The weathering on tis thing was simple: - Paint (grey, biege, silver) - Dry-brush with Model Master Chrome silver - Wash with strongly thinned acrylic paint - I applied waaaaaay too much and while i was cleaning the overdose with the toilet paper I just tapped along the surface with it - it left some pretty nasty stains and it was love at first sight Avgwarhawk: Well, it is in 1/24 - will that fit?
  13. Great work! If the bricks in the walls were "3D", it would be perfecet
  14. I just love that "red-on-white" combination! The car looks amazing! Great work!
  15. Thanx, guys! David G.: I agree 100% and I should've done it before... Tut there's a rule of mine that says: Once the model is finished I will not do anything to it - just to keep it as a reminder of my skills "back then" in the 20 year's time
  16. I worked on this thing in 2007/2008. Everything, except for the wheel centers (which are from some 1/24 truck kit), is scratchbuilt from all kinds of materials I could get my fingers on I'll post just a few shots of the WIP, but the rest (137 pics) can be seen on this link. First assembled part: 1160 pins, all hand-drilled holes...... Painted: Weathered: Finished: One more 100% scratch project followed and was finished about a month ago and there is another one coming to shape in my mind
  17. The rest of the pics: I know - the tyres should be more beat-up... :/ The WIP can be seen here: Link to the WIP.
  18. Here's another older build from me. Lindberg Dodge L 700 Tilt cab. One of the worst kit's I've worked with... But since it was my first-ever mdoel truck, I decided to keep my cool and go for it The result looks like this: More pics will folow in my next post
  19. A big "Hello!" to all the members of this great forum! I've been reading the threads for a while now and I finaly got some courage to show some of my own work I finished this thing in 2010 after more than a year's work. To shorten the list of mods I'll write this: - Opening all the panels - Swaping the original engine with a Viper's V10 - Scratching pretty much everything I could - Losing my nerves with it a few times... Here's what it should look like (my friend's build): And here's what mine looks like: More pics will folow in my next post. The WIP can be seen on this link: Link to the WIP It's in Slovene, so ask if there's anything you'd like to know Best regards, Damir Mejric More pics:
  20. How about applying a thin coat of clear-coat and adding some white chalk dust over it while it is fresh?
