  1. That's one of the seXXXiest group-shots ever Wish there were more Deuces here in Europe... A great build, mate! So simple, yet so effective - I couldn't get my eyes off her for quite a while
  2. A clean and well done build Not too much of a Pug fan, but I like the way this one looks
  3. A bit of off-topic, but here goes: I'm not used to people apologising for their mistakes so this last post was a real candy to read Realising you're wrong and saying:"I'm sorry." - sometimes I have the feeling that's something that died with the last of the knights a few centuries ago...
  4. Thanx for the comments, guys! Stuff like this makes me try even harder Avgwarhawk: Truth be told, the rag is there because I forgot to weather the original cap and didn't want to do it afterwards, so I just took some toilet paper, foundled it up and stuck it in there, added some strongly thinned black Revell enamel and that was it
  5. Thanx, m8 There are a lot of parts and some of them fit well, but most of them need lots of addapting and modifying before they can be used. The biggest issue is the fitment of the cab to the chasis...
  6. This has got to be one of the most beautifull pro mod models I've seen in years... I'm in love with it Checking out the gearbox you posted... Love the way it looks, but... I have no idea what those valves (or are they switches?)are supposed to be/do/whatever. Could you explain the way this works in 1:1? Just a fewwords will do...
  7. Perfect weathering and the overall look of the car is fantastic
  8. So clean and so beautiful Great build, m8!
  9. Jose: I used the cheapest one I could get my hands on and it worked perfectly
  10. This is breathtaking... Great progress!
  11. Great work and fast progress That's the next thing I'm planing to do with my weathering experiments - hairspray and salt combined I know I'll learn a lot from this build
  12. I started at the age of 9 or so, been modeling for about 8-10 years, worked strictly on planes and helicopters in 1/72, than had a "time-out" due to other activities (school, BMX, drums, music composing, girls, concerts... ) and came back around 2003 or so. As I came back I started modifying die-casts in 1/24 and fell in love with scratchbuilding. After two or three modified die-casts I was hooked After a few die-casts I took-up on my first plastic kit (Fujimi Golf I GTI) and... Well... I was hooked again Been working on cars since then in 1/24 with any kind of material that comes around (die-cast, styrene, resin, welding wire, ...)
  13. Dude, I'd LOVE to get some detailed info on that weathering, because the truck looks SICK
  14. I have one of the early versions of JGC, but it is a die-cast in 1/24 and the quality of it is really poor... I think it was manufactured by Bburago, but I'd have to check. But I guess you want some good ol' plastic, huh?
  15. Yes, there is - styrene in different shades of rust, chipped paint and dirt all over it Great work so far and the theme is my cup of tea - abandoned and abused vehicles
  16. Thanx, fellas Count Chuckula: Hyeah, the kit sucks big time John: I weather every model with different techniques, so the results vary a lot from one to another I'ts fun to try something new each and every time. This way things don't get monotone and you can mix-up different techniques from different models from the past and get a totally new look
  17. Probably one of the sexiest 55s out there... That car is amazingly beautiful, the flames are great and, sorry, but I think your dog did you a favour - that hood looks great without that ornament on it Not a fan of oversized wheels neither, but this 55 just wouldn't be what i t is if it had some smaller rollers on it
  18. A beautiful car in a beautiful color combo That white 'n silver combo sure gets my thumbs up Well done!
  19. Nope - they look great Nice work with all the details and wireing on this tiny thing, m8!
  20. Lol... Thanx, Brett
  21. Ok, that 'Pala is evil... Nice wheels and nice color combo Love it!
  22. Oh, yeah - scratchbuilding! Great work so far!
  23. Wow... That interior looks great! Love all that wire and tape work
  24. A great idea and I love the way it's comming up Mads: A stationwagon and a lowrider at the same time - as good as it gets
  25. Thank ya'll The weathering was done only by an acrylic wash and Tamiya weathering pens. They're great to work with, but don't use them out of the pen - use a stiff brush instead
