Thanx, guys!
Tim: Agree, but it is a rat-rod, so stupid things like that figure
George: I have no idea, m8... :/ I got them babies a few years ago from a fellow modeller and this was one of the ways to (ab)use them
Ok, my jaw dropped when I saw that monster.... Great work all over it!
Virgil: Could you, please, in a few words explain how you achieved those dark "dots" on the body of the car? It just makes it SO real...
When it's up to decals, Corel Draw is my weapon of choice I've been told that Adobe Illustrator is even better and easier to use, but I haven't tried it yet.

- LOVE for scratcbuilding
- I'm bulletheaded - once I get the idea of what I want to make, I'mma achieve that goal no matter what
- Not affraid of chalenges - I love building stuff I never thought I'd be building ever (working on a customer's Airbus A380 in 1:144 at the moment )
That's where the list pretty much ends for me...
The Doctor did it again... Been through the topic, checked the details and I'll do it at least a few more times 'cuz it's inspirational and gave me quite a few things to think about...
Love the progress, the idea, the looks of this monster... Rock on!
Thanx for all the comments, guys - they are a GREAT inspiration for the future!
Virgil: The next project starts tonight It might not be as insane as this one, but it will be a test bunny for new weathering methods
Rodney: I'll think about replacing the cable...
Another quickie project is finished
The basic idea was to combine these elements:

Let's just say the car's been heavilly modiffied and most of the add-ons are scratchbuilt
The weathering was done with Tamiya acrilic paints, hair spray and dry pigments (MiG and CMK).
I made no WIP shots, but here are the shots of the finished thing:
It's hard to do as the cars don't have completely flat sides and the images are never taken at ana exact 90° angle. AND then there is a problem due to a aparalax of the camera's lens...
The best thing to do is get good reference shots of the car and design the decals yourself in a program like Corel Draw or anything similiar. Make sure you create vector drawings as this is cruicial for the resizing of the design to fit the model.
