  1. Testors Metalizer.
  2. Welcome! I saw all your little farm tractors, I have quite a few 1/16 ones that I played with when I was younger
  3. Possibly one of the best posts I've read on this forum. Thanks.
  4. Even easier and faster, just clean them with a rag dipped in thinner. Never fails for me.
  5. Dang! Well, now I'm going with the mechanical pushrod one. And that's final!
  6. Guess I'll be going with the cam driven one then. What would I do about a water pump if the fuel pump is literally right on it? Again, sorry for all the questions, way before my time LOL
  7. Right now I prefer rattle cans. I'm still trying to learn my airbrush
  8. I found a better picture of what I was planning on doing: They didn't even have this back in '62? Seems a lot less complicated than a cam driven pump Dang, not sure what to do now :\ I also never knew the CBs were powered with vacuum tubes, and I can't find any good reference on the internet, so I guess that's shot out of the water. Sorry, this was 35 years before my time, so yeah.
  9. Well, I mean it's always good to win, but the number one rule is to have fun I decided on the fuel system. I'm using a belt driven pump like this: ...Which means I'll have to rework the belt system. It will look more old school than the one I pictured, of course. Anybody notice that the Revell '55 Chevy has no alternator or fan? Ugh, I forgot that it had a magneto instead of a distributor. What about power for everything else, like the lights? Would I need a generator?
  10. Can we please get back on topic? I gotta say though, some of the replies made me laugh
  11. Thanks! You have a point there though. Although I'm not building to win, I'm building for fun. I gotta say, it's been loads of fun already
  12. I'm the 2%, every model bought supports Revell.
  13. Hasn't necessarily gotten uncivil yet, I just have a funny feeling this topic is headed that way though...
  14. Awesome, like the frame.
  15. It's freezing in Indiana today
  16. Sorry for the dumb question...but where would the fuel pump be on a '55 Chevy? I don't see anything on the engine. EDIT-Nevermind, I have a looooooot of detailing ahead of me.
  17. I'm guilty of posting instead of building
  18. I'm the same way, Jon. Maybe I'll start getting into that habit as well.
  19. Yeah, always fun looking at the ancient models Although most of the pictures don't work
  20. Cool, never thought of that. Thanks!
