  1. Thanks, here's a peek at the rest of the paint
  2. Thanks Anne! Making videos is a pretty good idea, I might try to make one when I do the paint on this.
  3. That's looking great!
  4. Well i dug this one out and managed to finish the floor, hinge the trunk, make an engine bay and firewall, and make a speaker box for the trunk. and here's the reason i haven't had much modeling time lately Thanks for looking, sorry for the crappy hone pics.
  5. Nice, there can never be too many ground scraping Mercs!
  6. This build is turning out great, and knowing it started out as sheets of plastic not too long ago absolutely amazes me.
  7. This just keeps getting better and better, I can't wait to see it completed!
  8. That chassis is amazing! Your skills with metal are extremely impressive.
  9. I did a how to a while back. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=52279
  10. The bodywork is looking good, I can't wait to see the paint!
  11. I have a couple of builds that ended up costing around $100 by the time they were done due to photo etch pieces and using automotive paint but most of the time the cost of the kit and maybe a set of wheels is pretty much all I'll spend since I've got a decent sized collection of paints and spare parts. I also try to scratchbuild everything I can before buying aftermarket since sheet styrene is a lot cheaper than resin.
  12. now I see why you call it Wicked Pete! this thing is so cool!
  13. If you're looking for an LS with a conventional transmission, the Revell '02 Camaro and '10 Camaro are the only options as far as I know. Also newer GTOs have them but I don't know for sure if there is a kit of one available. Other than that I think you're pretty much stuck with corvettes.
  14. I would absolutely love to build one but at that price I could also just pick up another 1:1 project to work on after my current one is on the road.
  15. Those 55 Chevy lights are perfect for this car, Great start!
  16. your scratchbuilding skills are amazing, I'll be watching this one closely.
  17. 'Merica! lol. Those graphics look great.
  18. I airbrush pretty much everything except flat black since the dollar cans of it work great and I go through a lot of it so it's easier to just grab the can.
  19. Looks good so far, I've always liked how Daytonas looked with the pro mod/pro street treatment.
  20. That is some impressive bodywork and paint, I can't wait to see it completely finished.
  21. Wow! that is an awesome paint job!
  22. I can't wait to see what you do! What colors do you have in mind?
  23. This is an awesome project! what are you using to cut out the headlight openings and vents?
  24. I thought about doing some sort of lower grill but the body is almost 1/4 inch thick under the grill so I'm not sure if I will or not.
