I have used the AMT 1968 Shelby Mustang chassis and interior on a 1966 Mustang Fastback body. Didn't take a whole lot of work to make the fit ok.

Going thru my stuff and found a few items I don't need. MPC Grumpy's Toy Vega Pro Stock sealed. All of the complete parts trees from the Moebius 1965 Plymouth A/FX (not AWB). Really everything but the body and tires. All bags sealed. Two sets (4 each) resin Torque Thrust wheels. (new) Kit decals from Polar Lights Gas Ronda Mustang Funny Car. Fred Cady Gas Ronda A/EX Mustang decals. Car Tech drag racing books. 8.5 x 11 soft cover, like new condition. Great reference material and drag racing history. Arnie "The Farmer" Beswick, Shirley Shahan The Drag On Lady, Mopar Factory Drag Cars 1962-1972, Drag Racing's Quarter Mile Warriors Then and Now (restored drag cars), Early Funny Cars 1964-1975. Also one hard cover book. Don The Snake Prudhomme My life beyond the 1320. Used vg condition. i would have interest on any of the following: 1966 Mustang Fastback AWB, MPC/AMT 1969 Mustang, MPC Firefighter Mustang Pro Stock, 1966 Fairlane 427, 1966 Galaxie and 1966 Mustang Fastback. I built many of these years ago for my son. I'm getting up in years and my skills aren't what they used to be. These kits would be ideal for me to still be able to build a few models. It would ne awesome if Slixx could come up with some decals for these kits. -
I was stationed in Portsmouth, NH in the mid 1960s. There was a sporting goods store that had toys and models on the second floor. Right around the corner from my high school there was a small TV repair shop. They had one small shelving unit next to the counter that had about 20 car kits. You sometimes wonder how you managed to stumble upon these places.

Just wondering if anyone has used Molotow Liquid Chrome Markers to touch up chrome. I ran into some the other day. They run about $11.69 so I don't want to get any if they don't work that well.

Does any company make a semi gloss red paint either spray or brush?

Just wondering if anyone has used SMP decals and what you thought of them.

This was mentioned on the Dyno Don Facebook page as rumored to be in the works for 2019 along with Grumpy's 1972 Vega. Anyone hear anything on this?

At one time there were two Chucks making decals. Don't know which one made the Ramcharger decals. There were two different ones. One for the Revell Mc Ewen Duster and one for a resin body. They are very nice. Just in case you don't have it see if you can find the Fall 2013 issue of Elapsed Times Magazine. It has a great six page article on the restored car.

I've never built a NASCAR model before. Somewhere I managed to acquire a couple of AMT thunderbirds so I thought I'd give in a try. I have a couple of quick questions. What year are the AMT T-Bird kits? Are all the engines aluminum in color? Am I correct to assume that NASCAR does not allow chrome rims? Lastly do you scuff up the tires like you would a drag slick or do you leave them as they are? Thank you in advance for any info.

gtx6970 Don had two 1965 Comets. One was driven by Eddie Schartman. It had a 427 wedge and never had a tube axle. Don's car the red one was delivered with a 427 SOHC. When Don altered the wheelbase and added injectors he also added a tube axle. The Beswick car never had injectors. It was turned over to Paul Rossi in mid season and ran carbs. -
Thanks for the info. I think I am going to use the NASCAR T Bird engine. I am not all that comfortable working with resin.
