  1. YEAH!!!! I think I gonna open my wallet!!! Simil'R http://www.similr.fr/ford-gt-gt1
  2. Thanks guys... I will keep my search in the Gunze and Heller kits. I will pass the Revell reissue!
  3. Guys, besides art box says it is 1/25 scale, I found this model in 3 diferent web stores being sold as 1/24 scale. It can be sound a little fool... but once Revell Ag use to comercialize the Classic series and almost others models in 1/24, i might say... "can it be wrong???" Any thoughts?
  4. What about the A-Team van??? No news????
  5. photo taken exactly in a moment of "fury"
  6. Very nice model. This car is amazing! Congrats.
  7. I´m intended to build the ’72 Ford Gran Torino from the Movie. I have the Gran Torino kit from Jo-Han. This is what I found on the internet about the car: The movie car is a 1972 Gran Torino Sport, with a 351C 2V engine with Cobra Jet Heads, with Magnum 500 Wheels. About the color: PPG: 4Q Dark Metallic Green #2291 So, here it is the first ask for help: 1)Could a good fella help me with more information about the car from the movie? Pictures, detaisl, color codes, interior, etc etc? (I don´t have the DVD. Probably I will buy it) As the Jo-Han kit is a snap model, this is the second question: 2) What kit I could use as a donor? I mean, engine, wheels and tires, maybe some interior parts… Thanks again folks!
  8. Very nice paint job! Congrats.
  9. Thanks thanks a lot guys. You are the best!
  10. Before someone start talking about Google and so on.. I already googled but without success. So I kindly ask for help and this is the place! Could someone help me with nice pictures with Chrysler 383 v8 engine wiring & plumbing diagram? I´m building the General Lee and my choice was 383 engine… Thanks in advance.
  11. You made my day!!! Super thanks!
  12. Dr. Cranky, I really admire your work, especially those who can give us tetanus. If I may make a suggestion, I think the front grill, rearview and headlights ornaments could follow the rust stage of the rest of the car. But it doesnt discredit the work anyway.... Outstanding job as always. Congrats!!!!
  13. torinobradley, WOW!!! I didn´t know that this car is a Foose´s design and Boyd´s building!!! And guess what: I have this kit!!!! Great.... great tip!!!! Tks! Mike, please don´t take my msg personally... it was not directed towards to you. Quite the opposite: you helped me a lot. BTW, thanks for the praise. I would like to apologize to Greg if misunderstood you, but I'm also a adm of a plastic modeling forum in Brazil and I got bother when things does not flow well for nothing...
  14. Why most of the time some guys here always deduces that a simple question is synonymous of laziness? Why do they always send us to Google? I already googled… so what??? Is it means that I´m prohibited to come here and start a nice conversation with guys that have the same hobby I do? Why so angry reaction when someone comes here and asks a question totally related to the main goal of the forum? I mean ... We are passionate about cars, don´t we? The question is in the correct forum, right? So what? Does it not occur to you that if I am a user of an virtual forum, I know the internet and I've searched in Google (or other site, whatever), but in the end, my preference is to discuss with friends (even virtual) on a subject that is of common interest? This is called affinity ... I will not discuss this with my boss at work or with the teacher of astrology (unless they are also enthusiasts, of course). If I'm writing here is because I like the ideas, criticisms and suggestions from here ... seems to me very obvious. I'm from Brazil; I'm a fan of cars. I see this forum as a great tool to interact. I do my research regularly in books and on the Internet, but chat with friend is fun as well (or even better). When we do a search like this, the results are actually many. You guys do have much more contact and info than I do… Boyd is American…Should I ask for this information in the Germany forum??? I know some of the Boyd ´s cars ... Aluma Coupe, Boydster, Smoothster, etc ... I want to build them and do a tribute to him. But I must decide and pick 3 of them.... I just want some help plus a nice chat ...ONLY THIS…. Is it ask too much? I really want to THANKS all people that are helping me… ----Chas SCR, As I said… I would like to make a tribute to Boyd with 3 cars… But the question is: which cars are more representative? I guess that Aluma Coupe and Boydster 2 are great to be in this project… What do you think? To maintain the yellow paint.. what about Vette or the Mustang with silver stripes? I really don´t know…See, is this kind of discussion that Google can’t provide…But you guys can!!! Thanks a lot!
  15. Hi guys... I was wondering if there is a site with a list of all Boyd Coddington´s famous cars.... Any tip? ... or we can start a nice list right here.. right now... What do you think?
  16. Thanks guys! Aftashox, so consider we are friends too!!! little update: (red lines to provide better view of the new pieces) ! Thanks
  17. Quick update.. just to finish hood´s under structure.
  18. Hi fellas.... I have started to think in the color....... in order to match the sheet decal graphics, I shall use any color with beige, brown or even gold tone. And searching in my stock, I have found these: Still need to decide. Almost all colors could match, but 4 of them are closer (red circle) Well, besides the color, I figured out that the hood edge is not matching with grille shell. So, I put some putty and also have started to make the hood ledge Now, just wait all get dry and start to sanding... This is an effort to bring more realism to the hood: the internal structure... more to come...
  19. Hi guys. David, once you creat an account, you can manage in your control panel the forum language. You and all fellas around here are wellcome to join us at Small Dreams.com! Steve you are almost right. The engine is a kind of aftermarket, but so far is just an effort to get start into the market... Bossolani and I are trying to launch some new and good parts... This engine specifically is casted by my friend Bossolani. FRONT SUSPENSION: the parts (thanks Boss for the resin A-arms) A-arms sectioned and drilled Well, this is the result after 3 hours of cutting, filling, sanding, testing, etc etc.
  20. ... and the new parts for rear suspension In order to start the front suspension, it is needed to know exactly where the engine must be fixed That´s all folks!
  21. Hi Guys... a little progress here... New rear lights space and new "bed" beeing preparaded...
  22. BTW, only after done with this inventory system that I could realized I MUST STOP BUYING those THINGS!!!! A lot of money ran out of my pocket in these last years
  23. I use a MS-Access database as inventory tool… it´s because besides model kits, I also register all others related items such as aftermarket, books, tools, inks, etc. So, there is in my database 4 main tables (and its fields): KITS Year / Manufacturer / Model / Model # / Model Manufacturer / Scale / Project / Raw Material / Type / Price / Location / Level / Curbside / PE / Comments / Acquisition date / Image link For example: 1932 / Ford / Sedan Street Rod 2n1 / 85-2062 / Revell / 1:25 / Hot Rod / Plastic / Car / 18.00 / box 2 / 2 / N / N / Box sealed / May 01 / 1932HB.jpg Being more specific about a few fields: -Project field I use to input which kind of subject I´m intended to build this model. Could be Hot Rod, F1 / TV Show / LeMans / Muscle / Classics whatever you want it… -Raw material, as the label says, what kind of material the kit is manufactured. Plastic, Resin, Resin + Metal. -Type is to specify if the kit is a car, a truck, a bike, a F1, and so on… -Location: I have a space problem… not enough to keep all models together in a locker…so I made some huge packages, big cardboard boxes, stamped numbers and keep them in an attic. If I decide to trade or sell one of them, it is easier and quicker to find out…. AFTERMARKET Description / Manufacturer / Scale / Type / Aftermarket # / Price / Level / Acquisition date / Image link. For example: Pinstripe Black Decal Sheet / Bandit Resin / 1:25 / Decal / n/d / 10.00 / 1 / May 01 / decA.jpg Where Type means: Decal / Decal+Resin / Wire / PE / PE+Aluminum / PE+Resin / PE+Metal / Resin / Wheel / Tire / Transkit / Spare Parts CONTENT Description / Manufacturer / Type / Content # / Price / Acquisition date / Image link. For example: Joe Honda Racing Pictorial Series by Hiro: Lotus 97T/ Model Factory Hiro / Book / 01 / 35.00 / May 01 / 97T.jpg Type = Book / DVD / Magazine / CD / PDF File TOOLS Description / Manufacturer / Type / Tool # / Price / Level / Acquisition date / Image link. For example: High Precision Scissor (Photo-Etch Cutter) / MicroMark/ Cutter / XUR440 / 16.00 / May 01 / Cut.jpg Type = any subject you want, like inks, cutter, hand tools, electric tools, materials, etc. Once MS-Access can provide me a kind of “system” (with MS-Windows standard and all functionalities), it´s turnout a friendly way to manage and follow my inventory! I know, it´s sounds a little crazy, but that was the way I felt more comfortable to deal with it
