  1. Looks good. Now how about those walls. Gonna do any detailing?
  2. I have always liked the 46-7-8 Chevy kits by Galaxie. Superb detail.
  3. Howdy Justin. My two main sources for model kits are my local hobby shops and swap meets. I am fortunate enough to have 2 stores in town here. But you almost answered your own question. Evil-bay and craigslist. The problem with swap meets is the goods ones are miles away and you can't go to one everytime you want a kit. But when I can get to one, I make up for lost time by loading up.
  4. I guess I'm about to find out. I just ordered the 57, Nova and 70 Camaro from Lucky Bobs.
  5. If you'll notice that is a Busch car, not a cup.
  6. With my first wife that was a problem. She complained about it all the time. But things are better now, so I no longer have to hide "things" when I spend a dime.
  7. Sorry, can't get my pics to come up
  8. Yes he has, and thats also why I liked him so much. I have a bunch of his cars, but mine are all cup cars. Don't have any Busch at all. Very nice collection ya have there...... I was in Texas when he "retired" even though he has raced some since. Don't for get his retirement car, the one Rick hendrick gave him in Nov of 06.
  9. if it matters to you, the "official" name of the light green in 1957 was "Surf Green ".

    My Nascars

I am a Mark Martin fan. The man has class. And he ain't a bad race car driver either. Nice job with his cars.
  11. Yesterday I stopped at my local Hobbytown USA looking for a 48 Ford by Revell. When I couldn't find one on the shelf, I ask the counter person about it and he said it was discontinued. Now I'm thinking he just hasn't updated his puter info yet. BUT after stopping at 2 more places, I still haven't found one. Anyone know if this is true?????
  12. Do any of you know if the 48 can be converted to a 47? I have a friend with a 1/1 scale and would like to do his car.
  13. Yes it is. Very nice shape. I have a Ford Gt Cox sidewinder from 1966 that ain't bad either. The tires are junk though.
  14. I see both sides. I own a 92 Vette, my wife a 95 Prelude, Vtech 5sp. Needless to say the Vette will chew up and spit out the Prelude. But heres another thought. Both of these cars are pushing the 20 year old mark. The new Vettes are ground-pounding fire breathing monsters. What has ANY Jap car got that can compare????? I'll take a Vette any day.
  15. That is one of the finest displays I ve ever seen. I wish just once though we could back up and run those ones in the front of yer line-up.
  16. I'll second that. I totally messed up a 48 chevy body with bad paint and called them offering to buy just a body. They wouldn't hear of it and sent me a new one free. Very helpful and courtious people.
  17. I have used the AMT bumpers on a R/M kit and made them work also.
  18. I'm interested to know if there are anyone like me, here. I have a favorite car that I have built some 40 kits of, in one scale or another. That car is of course the 55 Chevy. I have a total of 26 2 dr sedans, 11 converts, and 6 hardtops. That doesn't count trucks or Nomads. I've built them factory stock, street machine,or just about any other style. Am I crazy? My wife thinks I am. Does anyone else do this or is it just me?
  19. I have to ask, Is your avitar a car you own, or just a nice picture?

  20. How about Hasagawas 66 Impala kit from the 80's. Open it up and it was a 65, not a 66. But the box still said 66. The wheels and tires looked about 2 scales to small also. I didn't know if I should love it or hate it, because I do like the 65.
  21. I was born there. Long time ago
  22. Very nice John. Is that the 1/16 th scale? Years ago I wanted the 2fer kit that had the rail and funny both in one kit. Found a friend that wanted the rail so I got the funny. I still haven't built it, but your post sure makes me want to get on with it.
